So I made a decision along time ago that Masterpiece Rodimus wasn't for me. The price point difference between the tomy version and the inevitable Hasbro release is just too much for a trailer that was only relevant in 1 mode. Then I saw this picture Then something occurred to me. In vehicle mode the hot rod component is only showing in the bottom trim of the front/wheels and also the roof fin. Isn't it possible for a 3rd party company to take a mold of that those two areas and replicate snap on pieces for those two areas. Aside from the wheels it would need no moving parts and could be done in just a few pieces. This would give fans a fully functional car mode they could display next to Robot mode Rodimus or have both car modes side by side. The ability to do this might make consider buying the Takara version. Would anybody else be interested in an item like this or am I just crazy??
I guess I-Gear will do at some point since they're already making a slightly bigger version of the MP-04 trailer and don't seem to care about doing high quality KOs.
I'm confused. Masterpiece rodimus doesvhave a working car mode what ezcatly are you looking for here?
A relatively cheap way (sub $200) to display Rodimus in both robot and vehicle mode at the same time.
He's saying: 1) Display Rodimus in robot mode. 2) Display the trailer in trailer mode (not battle station mode) 3) 3rd Party replicates only those parts of the Rodimus robot toy which are visible in alt-mode, i.e., the front wheels and bottom. 4) Attach trailer to those parts, so it looks like there's a complete rodimus alt-mode in the trailer. Because the trailer contains the entire windshield/front end of the rodimus prime alt-mode, very little would be necessary to make it look like a full rodimus alt-mode. Essentially, the rodimus alt-mode barely has any visible parts of the actual robot, due to the hood covering. Thus, it should be easy to replicate those few visible parts and create an alt-mode rodimus to display right next to your robot-mode rodimus, without having to buy a second rodimus.
The idea is neat, but idk if anyone is going to make it happen. No, no they aren't. They have sadly put the mp big trailer on hiatus . I shoulder have sold my mp-04 for that trailer . Oh well I guess..
just had to say again THIS IS A GREAT IDEA, please some wonderful 3rd party company make this happen, (bet hasbro would be pissed even though it would barley effect those who would buy 2 for dispaly)
