    Meanwhile back to Genesis Moutain.

    "So... Quake .
    - Ser ?
    - The fuck ?
    - What do you mean ? The usual nonsense I guess.
    - No. I'm talking about... Look, I don't want to sound like a sorry accountant or anything but why two ? Why do we have 2 systems ? These morons don't even know how to use one.
    - I think that have something to do with you and how you're always monopolizing the one we've got and...
    - What ? Ok, 1) I don't monopolize it (do I ? Really ?) 2) ... I don't monopolize it ! Seriously ! I'm the most sharing bot there is, my mum used to say that...
    - Dude ? Awkward. Anyway they managed to Swindlexpress another one.
    - I guess it's ok. This one looks nice, maybe I'll play a little toni...
    - Yeah about that... Appart from the "they bought it with your money" thing they said it's theirs and you're not allowed. Something to do with their origin and a NTSC thing. I don't know. And frankly I don't care either.
    - But... THE FUCK ?"

Large, do you also have Road Rash 1 and 2? Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II? The first Super Monaco GP?

Oh dude, the feels. I want all of those games right now, and that Genesis.

Mate, look on what Quake is standing :D

Road Rash was and still is one of the games I just can't be bored with. The HOURS on it are countless.
I even made a article about it like two years ago on a french (generalist) board.
And I have a solid fact about this game:
I made a lot of people from different ages play it and:
    1) They all loved it. So much fun every time.
    2) Rob Hubbard's musics are still in their heads.

(and yep I've got the 2 Monaco GP but they're boxless) (Monaco GP was the game I had with my Megadrive on Christmas night 1991. On the 26th I met an hedghog).

Super glad I took you to a cool memory lane ! :)

    IT WOULD BE QUAKE!

Oh that is fantastic. I still recall the music from the Hawaii?Nevada? stage on Road Rash 2, the one that has the conga drum. And the theme tune also is unforgettable. 25 years later, god damn.

    All the best

Very little trumps Yuzo Koshiro's Streets Of Rage 2 soundtrack, though. Maybe only Chris Huelsbeck's Turrican stuff.

Games like that are the main reason I am so into synthwave today.

Don't make me start on him (althought I slightly prefer the first SoR soundtrack but that's personal and like comparing Sofia Vergara against Barry's shirts. Both are god's gifts yo humanity) (so yeah SoR 2 OST is awesome).
I mean... Nobuo Uematsu himself said after listening the Actraiser's Soundtrack (Square was literally spying on everything Quintet was doing with Actraiser because that would be the very first RPG-like game on the S-Nes and they were finishing Final fantasy IV, the first 16bit FF) "Ok now I have to redo everything I've done. It's that good."
When it's Uematsu who says something like that about your work, you know you have done way more than your job.

My favourite games of the 16 bit era were the Super Star Wars Trilogy, International Superstar Soccer Deluxe & Super Mario Allstars on SNES.

I had a Megadrive for a while but never took to it as much apart from Sonic 2, which to this day has one of my favourite theme tunes for a specific level.

Lucky Dime Caper!!! Castle of Illusion!! Asterix!!!!! Wonder Boy!! Why am I 11 again!!

    Absolutely stunning stuff.

I loved Strider. And Robocop vs Terminator.

And had the Barcelona 92 Olympic game on the Master System - some serious button mashing.

Literally just shot tea out of my nose laughing at this. (oh the burning nostrils)

A little ashamed that I never spotted the inherit naughtiness of Nightbeats name, my juvenile brain usually lets me find smut in everything.

All these Blaster shots are making me regret selling Blaster. I had the TR version, but the Legends version looks so much sweeter. I really wish him and Soundwave had been voyager sized.

Mate - you just mentioned Streets of Rage 2!! One of my favourite Megadrive games!

There was a boss who was very much like the Ultimate Warrior...
And don't anybody deny they didn't check out the chick's garter when she did the high kick....

    Too far? :D

Edit : always went for the chain on Road Rash. Weapon of choice.

Yup, and he was already on the first game, boss of the 3rd stage, moonlight rain on the beach and all.
    Let's listen!

Yes too far ! Nobody disrespect Blaze Fielding in my presen... Ok nevermind i'm just weird that way with her.
+ I'm a liar, of course i did check out.

If interested, I recommand to download find somewhere the Street of Rage Remix game (vers 5.0). Sega have been dicks about it but it's a fantastic mix of every best parts of the trilogy.
    Enjoy.

Little bit late on this, but whatever.

My first Transformer toy was this little guy.

Picked him up from a Tesco without any understanding of what he was, thought he was a minicon for ages. He disappeared at some point, probably lost in a move of house or disposed of by a grumpy parent, or maybe eaten by a couch, I'm not sure.

I didn't get another figure for ages, until I picked up the Clear Skies Minicon team from another Tesco, and shortly after that, started getting the Movie Legends figures. Eleven year old me only got £5 a week and had zero concept of saving (In contrast to eight year old me, who saved for ten weeks to get a Bionicle figure that turned out to be half the price at TRU that it was at Tesco), so the Legends were normally the most I could muster.

Eventually I started to get bigger ones, Deluxe Jazz and Animated Bumblebee... and then the dreaded "You're too old for this" hit, and without means of transport or ordering online, that was the end of my collecting days for a while.

I got a brief revival when IDToys opened their physical store in Norwich, managed to acquire a Classics Hot Rod, an RTS Legends Starscream, and committed probably the cardinal sin of my TF-collecting life: I passed up Universe Thundercracker in favour of DOTM Starscream. Screamer was the character I wanted, in any form, despite knowing that TC was the better toy. I got Screamer, pretty much immediately regretted it, and he spent years languishing in a drawer before eventually being returned to the same store he was bought from.

Shortly after I made that mistake, IDToys closed their city-centre store and moved to a smaller, cheaper one on the outskirts of the city, a location that I could not reach without being able to drive. From then on I only got the occasional figure. Universe Starscream showed up in my town's toy store, I got FOC Shockwave at a Wal Mart while I was in Florida, and that was it... Until Alpha Bravo showed up in the same store that Starscream did. And from then on, I was hooked again. Helps that I passed my driving test and, after much trial and error, finally located IDToys again.

    Happy Birthday @Sixo .
I can't believe that I didn't notice how good RID Megs was back in early 2000's when I first got him.
