Double post? We're into the witching hour, nobody gives a frikk.

That Continuum add on kit for Carnifex, I reckon I should be all over it but nah. IDW Overlord is a different beast to G1 Overlord and never shall the two mix. The new head, for what it sets out to do and what it achieves, is absolutely fine. In fact it's a great sculpt but it just saps all the life out of the figure. I'm not entirely convinced the set Masterforces Carnifex in any way, shape or form either, so that display route is nixed.

Your thoughts? Are any of you getting it?

Not me, I don't like masterforce that much and I'm not willing to pay $20 for that set.

That's a really nice car mode. It's properly retro futuristic.

Anyway, nah, can't cave. Gotta be realistic about space. So many big bots of late while even the little ones have their own dedicated cabinet..

I'm also on a right Reformatted trip. Carnifex, Commotus and Titanika are the standard I'm holding most gear up to now in terms of durability and build quality. Collectors items that double as toys, little fear of chipping paint (which has become a big deal for me following recent Masterpiece figures), out of the box and into the heart feels. Good times.

My next purchase will likely be DX9's Skyer, then a pre order for MMC's Oberon.

Double posting with the reckless abandon of a lone NITEWOTCHER.

Might have to get Contact Shot. My head is in your hands, @Maz

I grabbed it for the Giga and Mega but the rest is just sitting there. Maybe a minor bit of regret, but not loads. They aren't even in the chest holes as, like you say, he isn't Masterforce, just standing on the shelf near him being cool tiny mates. They're cool, but could easily have lived without them.

For flips sake Maz pack it in, I'm skint :D  :D

    That is wicked! So. Good.

I'm afraid I can't get on with TR Perceptor sadly. If anybody wants him, he's complete with collector card, rifle and, if you want it, backing card, for £16 posted.

IMBAP but am I the only one who thinks Point Blank looks like a B&M knock-off? That alt mode looks like 3 cars stuck together.

You are a brave man, Sir. Very brave.

Only this morning did the wife see my MP Megatron purchase on our bank statement and had a go at me.

The other day I posted that I'm hoping to get Contact Shot next month. A mere hour after posting that my TV died. MP Magnus sold for than I expected on eBay so I'm hoping the same happens to MP9 Rodimus otherwise I'll be waiting another month.

It's basically the same alt mode as the G1 version.

@Maz - so damn glad I've already got Contact Shot - your photos are stunning (as usual) - eagerly awaiting the full reveal of MT's take of Crosshairs - after many hard collection decisions last year, the MT Masters are the only trips into 3p territory i'll ever be making again - and it's totally worth it.

also, finally found a TM last night which didn't knock my socks clean off - Repugnus - yeah, he's pretty OK, but I'm not a fan of how he integrates in bug/monster mode - looks are smack on, but in a line where Doublecross got deluxe love, why not Repugnus? (crossing fingers he and Grotesque are being held back for Power of The Primes)

This is why my wife and I keep our bank accounts separate. We are each responsible for our respective bills and after that our idiocies are our own responsibility and/or problem. I don't know how much she spends on clothes and Warhammer models, she doesn't know how much I spend on toys and video games. We trust each other to pay what needs paying and to be grown up about other stuff.

edit: That said, both of us work and no kids does make life much easier. I realise that not everyone's life can have such a carefree attitude to personal spending.
