RCarter is delivering DX9 Dinos between 09:27 and 10:27. Shadow Tengu has shipped out if you ordered with TFS-Express and dropped off pre order status at Kapow.. so that's a sign. Nottlebots have shipped. A lad on Facebook said they got to him from China within 3(?!) days. This is gonna be a good week for robots.

Nice pic of IF Optimus, it's a figure that's in my future. I saw a video review of it last night so I could see some footage and was impressed enough despite the reviewer's whiny voice and somewhat ridiculous expectations of a figure so small. As good as IF's figures are there's always going to be compromises due to the scale and in my experience so far it's usually the vehicle modes that suffer but they get the robot modes very, very right for the most part so I've been more than happy.

Incoming toy fun, TFS-Ex have Hoist on the way to me so that'll be today or tomorrow delivered to work, and MMC Tarn has cleared customs and is at my local delivery office so that'll get picked up after work tomorrow when I miss it today. So much toy excitement!

Excellent stuff. I've read a longer interview with Bob Budiansky (maybe on bwtf.com?) and its fascinating just how pragmatic he is about the whole thing, as it was just his job to do at the time. I love that he's responsible for the majority of the bio cards for the characters we know and love, as well as some of the best G1 Marvel stories.

 

Well, I have finally decided to dip my toe in to the murky waters of 3rd party: my first non-official figure is due for delivery later on today. After seeing a Kapow discount code on Facebook, I thought 'why not?' and promptly ordered Badcube Sunsurge.

I really hope this isn't the start of a long slippery slope.....

 

Just got Arms Micron Ironhide thanks to banjoted. Been after this guy for ages, and am well chuffed with him in hand - it's amazing what the right paint job does for a mould!
