    Sunday evening...

The wife is away on a hen...

    The sun is shinning...

    No work tomorrow...

...and I choose to spend my time reorganising my shelves for the second time in as many months.

Leading the rock and roll lifestyle!

To be fair I did spend last night at a Chris Cornell tribute gig, so I'm all rocked out..

I had heard that before & when I was a kid I did wonder why the toy designs altered so drastically but once again it kind of glossed over things. I may be wrong but what I heard was the movie cast was designed by Hasbro but other '86 toys like the "special teams" were designed by Takara for a pre-Transformers line.

I dunno, I must have heard “IF YOU CALL ME PROVOCATIVE ONE MORE TIME I’LL MACE YOU!” at least once.

Looks like I made the right impression when I went to the recruiting event at Nottingham City Farm this morning as it looks like I may be starting a week on Monday, I'm just waiting for a call on Wednesday to confirm that.

The people there all seemed really nice and the place has a peaceful atmosphere even though it's fairly close to the city centre so I think I'll be OK. They have about 100 different volunteers on their books so I'll be meeting a wider variety of people than at the RSPCA store which I think will be good for me.

I'll likely just be doing one day a week to start with but have said I'm open to more once I've got into the swing of things so I'm looking forward to getting started :)

Anhedonia has made me pretty much incapable of getting on with unfinished customs for the last few months, but I managed to force myself to start making Generations Brainstorm look more like his comic self..

So, off-white applied to the tops of his arms and some soon to be added to his ribs and thighs. I need to match the turquoise better, which is an absolute bastard, so I can redo his chest and add some to his shins. I have a set of Milne symbols en route for all my MTMTE/LL folks, although I wish I’d bought the glow ones instead

The Special teams and Metroplex were to be part of the Diaclone line called jizai gattai, but as transformers were more popular Takara cancelled Diaclone and went with Transformers instead. The movie cast was designed by Floro Dery (with the exception of Ultra Magnus) so were animation models first, then made into toys instead of being toys first which were turned into animation models.

I really like the SF Debris fan doc for an enjoyable pretty deep dive into the origins.

The wee clean n' tidy continues, that's all my gestalts away as I'm aiming to not have the room so dominated by robots (sez the guy with THREE citybots out at the Mo) but it was actually kind of nice to put 'em away with the notion of coming back to them. No negative thoughts about 'em being a burden but a pleasant sense of satisfaction in having the first four special teams. I'll see you fellas later. Compy stays out for obvious reasons.
I do feel it is a time to gradually put away childish things at the mo...to get them out to play with more later!

Also put GDO Cliffy back on card in preparation/for space management, and, boy, am I so much happier with "TR Cliffy" because as lovely as that mustang muscle car is that leg explosion transformation, while neat, is not one I find particularly pleasant. Goodbye, old chum, you've served your time well!

A quick afterthought, I was totes not judging you for being drunk in the morning. More a jokey side comment. Tone is tricky in type, so wanted to make sure there was no accidental offence.

That makes a lot of sense (Wheelie ...) Those Combiner Teams are J-spec for sure.

The only thing I had to Google was if I had spelt Jizai Gattai correctly (which I had :D )
Love the way all four of the team leaders can connect to Metroplex in base mode. I've only done it with Hotspot and Motormaster, as I don't have Silverbolt and Onslaught.

This seems like an oppurtune time to say I received the PRID Ratchet you sold me, and I am very, very happy with him. Such a nice figure! Many thanks!

No need, my good man. Zero offence taken at all. Especially not over my drinking habits :lol

And likewise, cos I was still in the throes of just waking up when responding.
