Good one. I completely forgot about that one.

I did this as a joke for the Warhammer Bumblebee thread... but now I really want it to be a thing.

Well that backfired a bit then, didn't it?

I forget to say, @chucksbikeorama there's various facebook groups where you can b/s/t lawsuit guitars, such as this one.
It's a closed group but I think they turn round mebership quite quickly. There's bound to be others too. Might be a good alternative to selling on eBay, but I'm not sure why you'd want to becasue that bass looks bloody lovely!

It's worth fiddling with your strap to find the sweet spot where it sits nicely. I usually wear my SG a wee bit higher than I wear my Les Paul. Other than that, um, don't let go of the neck?

All of those are on my 'one day' list. There's a handful of Western G1 toys that I've not go because they never really turned up in the comcis, and that's really my thing, but since I've got the clones and Gnaw it's starting to feel like only a matter of time before I wind up getting these, Punch/Counterpunch, and Reflector.

Depends on how much its value is declared as. Used to be £15 and under went untouched iirc, not sure nowadays. I always ask to mark parcels at $10.

The same kind of comment happens a lot in 1:6 scale collecting whenever a figure with bare limbs has visible joints, which is why companies have started the dubious practice of covering some of their base bodies with a rubber "skin" which is prone to tearing if you use those joints too much. This is why I can't pose my Hot Toys Gamora in any cool action poses and my forthcoming figure of Michonne fom The Walking Dead by threezero won't be able to do a whole lot with her samurai sword for the same reason.

The argument that visible joints make 1:6 figures "too toyish" is BS because they are still toys, just very high end ones. If visible joints are that much of an issue for people they should collect statues.

Transformers are all toys too, so I'm not sure what that person's reasoning would be for such a comment, I guess it's a change from all the price and scale whinging that most Legends threads seem to consist of :D

My ebay auctions have generally been going well but I had this question which made me facepalm a bit,

"Does your Sunsurge come with the Chip figure?"

Me "Yes, that would be why I clearly listed the item is COMPLETE WITH ALL PACKAGING AND ACCESSORIES on the advert."

    Guitars eh?

I'm down to an Encore Acoustic, a Strat and my Son has his Sidwinder for practice. That's it. I gave up my Vinatge Tele at the last house move (along with my Tama Drums and a big chunk of independence) to pay for the move. On balance that wasn't my smartest move as I've never even touched anything since that sounded as lovely as that one. And I've never played a Gibson other than LPs - always wanted an Explorer but there has always been something that gets in the way of getting one. Some day. image.jpeg

Double post with purpose, I LOLed at Thew's Universe Brain meme Slag/Slug name solution but it dislodged a wee language nerd bugbear from the back of my mind in that the perfect single-letter substitution is just right there.

Not only is it perfect for encapsulating 'a male animal with horns' it is entirely appropriate to 'fire-breathing lizard' and also infers the temper/temperament of someone who's always "butting heads".
C'mon, Hasbro, hire me! I'll be your 21st Century Budiansky!

(I would also accept going for the root and taking 'Steg' but I'm sure that could have been used elsewhere by another IP possibly.)

You tend to not get questioned like that if you actually take pictures of everything that’s included, they give you 12 which is more than enough.

When you just take 2 pictures of the figure, and it’s box, it’s not surprising that they would question what’s included. The contents aren’t displayed, and we’ve all experienced, or know of someone who’s had a difficult eBay transaction.

I’d say that it’s an interested party just trying to cover their back/protect their interests, so maybe not be so judgemental about them asking before bidding and potentially wasting both of your time. :thumb

@incapable hulk @we_are_forest , apologies, we are very jammy and I thought a point would have been fair!

This is now 7 years ago. Even 3P stuff is becoming vintage.

Haha, no mate a point would have been unfair on you lot. It was a poor game but Villa were easily the better side and were completely comfortable. We never threatened to score, and were lucky the score stayed at 1-0. A complete come down from last week but such is the life of a Forest fan. Never dare to dream, because within days they'll People's Elbow any ray of hope you may have had. Useless gits.

Hmm, If the upcoming Deluxe Repugnus is a more toyetic head, I do hope that they don't adhere to the beady eyes there.
Or if they do swapping it out for TR Repugnus and his Aviators-eyes is an option.

Can't have a discussion on guitars without posting my team:

Regarding your SG: before here my forums of choice were Telecaster forums, and a neck-diving instrument is referred to as neck-heavy. It's like the equivalent complaint of hollow forearms on here :lol

Oh man, a vintage Tele... what year was it? I'd love an early 50s blackguard, although lately I've been pining for a slightly more affordable 1969/1970 Esquire.

I sold my vintage 1932 Martin to fund making my first album - the pain never goes away
