Shadowland was my jumping off point as well! My favourite thing Bendis did was Alias and I still have the complete run of that (if anyone wants it give me a shout, I am evidently trying to get rid of most of my physical comics). His Daredevil run dragged out the gritty real stuff for too long. Stripping away the Daredevil element to focus more heavily on Murdoch's issues is fun in doses but as it went on for so long it became less and less of a superhero book and all the fun had been sucked out of it. There were so few lighter moments to alleviate any of the grittiness. His ideas were good for a year or so, but I swear it went on for like 5 and it was far too long for me. It wasn't my jam. The Alex Maleev artwork was incredible though.
