The one thing surer than Death and taxes next year is that that mold will be getting that repaint, and probably the police deco too. The only problem I would have with that is the price, if MP39 stays as the new CarBot price point repaints/Diaclones will be off my menu - and I would be sticking to Blaze who is fine for all intents and purposes anyway. At £90 a throw I can get over not having TT on the box pretty quick. Skids and Jazz may be the only MPs I actually go for at that price.

And speaking of pricey - that's another £95 chucked on the bonfire to pay up MMC TryingTron (I'm sick of them all getting called Tyrant) and that's the fun budget exhausted for another few weeks.

funny thing with 3p's - I used to be eager to see the latest silhouettes, and would splurge money incessantly on them, but since MP Inferno, I've been more than happy to bide my time for the official version - don't get me wrong, I love Hellfire & Wrestle as toys, but for cartoon accuracy, the MP's are hands-down winners - only 3p that gets me interested any more is Iron Factory ( cos tiny bots with a bajillion accessories makes me smile) - genuinely excited to see what MP's we'll be seeing in the near future ( *flagrant speculation! - surely if the POTP dino's do well, it's only a matter of time until we see the rest of the MP dinos? *speculation ends*)

Punched in the gut this morning by the news that Grant Hart has died. No band has influenced my musical tastes more than Husker Du. Fuck.

I'm not as confident as you about the Diaclone repaints any more, I'm unsure as to why we haven't had a black Ironhide or Deepcover teased or announced. I'm worried that Road Rage, Bluestreak, Delta Magnus and the like which have not sold out and gone on discount repeatedly will eventually influence the decisions of TT with regards to Diaclone repaints.

Also I think in this case it's less about having TT on the box as opposed to NOT having BadCube on one :)

If they'd actually ever bothered to send me the box as promised...

    All the best

@Napalm, I shall henceforth call you Mr November. ;)

OK! THIS IS IT. I'm pretty sure this is how the calendar is gonna look (barring a couple of surprises) when I take it to the printers in December. Front and back covers are done and it you notice a curious void here or there, fret not. All will be revealed in due course. ;)

So, get your order in NAOW (currently standing at 34) because as I say, if you miss the first run there's every chance there won't BE a second run! This is also the last time I'll spam these particular images, because let's face it, you're probably sick of seeing them now.

Ironhide at least had the shared mold with Ratchet, and I'm pretty sure Diaclone 'Hide will appear at some point even if they burn it on a Convention Exclusive. Deep-cover might be one trip to that well too far (there's been five, going on six don't forget) but MP39 will see at least one reuse - even if TT do get gunshy on repaints (no Toy-Shockwave yet either) no way this becomes the only single-shot Carbot.

But it might be my only purchase of the Mold.

And speaking of Mould.......@stevej @barry just seen the news on Grant Hart. From first coming across them in '84 (what a year that was!) they were a First Love until way beyond implosion and Sugar arising out of their ashes. I saw them in '87 in Europe and saw Grant with the Nova Mob some years later (they weren't that good sadly) and the Du remain the pinnacle to me of what a three-man team can do sonically.

Sadly this news is not exactly a surprise, He was a health-mess for the last decade and would have been a barely-walking Just Say No Kids warning to anyone that saw him recently. Huge talent, lovely man (when he wasn't high as fuck) but Hardly Getting Over It may as well have been his soundtrack. Seeing as that was a Bob song He probably wouldn't have appreciated the irony.

    RIP indeed.

You're older than I am. I got into Husker Du via first getting into Sugar in the early 90s (in '84 I was listening to my dads Springsteen records, in '87 I'd have been listing to Bon Jovi, ha!). I was starting to get into punk around that time but it would be a few years before I first heard Husker Du ('Flip Your Wig' was my first introduction) and when I heard them everything just clicked. They were the missing link. I was so familiar with the bands that were directly influenced by Husker Du that I was in love with them before I'd actually heard them. Without these bands there would have been a huge fucking hole in my life throughout my teens, 20s and 30s, so much so that it doesn't bare thinking about.

Blasting Zen Arcade out now and feeling proper miserable.

Would any of you good folk know of a free app which allows you to add special effects to pictures at all?

I use Pixlr for borders but it doesn't have anything along the lines of something to use for flashes etc.

    Thanks in advance! :)

I'm older than everything, including Punk. :D

Latest indications are my AmiAmi Diabattles actually made it to the UK this time around, which is progress, but is currently ensnared by the Parcel-Thieves at HMRC. Feck.

    This is going to sting.

Age is beautiful. You wear it well you stunner.
I expect you've seen a whole bunch of bands I wish I'd seen. I didn't start going to gigs until 1994. Jesus Lizard at the tender age of 15.
