I hope that there are a few more folks who share your feeling because I don't want to have to go too low to shift 'em.
I'd keep both but metaphorically and literally I can't afford to do so.
I've really enjoyed having the Crüe and that Hasbro have managed to pip them aesthetically is quite a surprise!

I haven't enjoyed not attending a con' so vicariously as this one - the last four pages were great, lots of mini-movies playing in my head!

I think it's because they're pitched at different ends of the market. Funkos are somewhat cheap and cheerful, whereas anything Hot Toys do is aimed at the higher end. Having put the GOTG2 Cosbabies side by side with my Funkos the main difference for me is that each character's personality shows through much better on the Cosbabies, the trademark Funko eyes often make them look a bit dead and I don't think they work that well for all characters.

    barry,
Medicom have done a green costume Rocket in a similar style to the Hot Toys Cosbabies that's been out a while.....it's working it's way up my "to get" list :D

Ugh, the dead eyes on the Funkos... I know some people are totally into them - hell, a glance at the shelves of any given Forbidden Planet tells you that - but I just find it all a little creepy.

Then of course you get this monstrosity:

Hope everyone has been having a great time.

Weather really has been impacting me lately, hopefully I'll be able to do new Transformer pictures soon.

image.jpeg Something wrong with a World were you have to check-out early on a Sunday Morning, it's just not civilised. At least I'll be home at midday-ish for a fiddle with KBB MP10. Wheelie has done his level-best as travelling companion but can't compete with that. Hopefully.

Enjoy your TFN Sunday folks and safe journeys too.

I didn't realise Cosbabies were still going. I used to have a Cosbaby Davy Jones from POTC. It was so cute.

Just checked eBay & there's a Ripley & Newt Cosbaby. I want it.

Had a great time at TFN, I think anyone who saw me would have noticed I was very much under the influence of alcohol. Met some lovely people, caught up with some lovely people and will definitely be doing the full weekend next year.

Good to sleep in your bed rather than in hospital. Still a bit painful though. Time will help.

Like I said on Twitter it's great to see groups pics and all sharing moments. Makes me happy even far away.

Oh, and before I forget, my sales are updated. MP Tracks and Brawn in there (with bonus). Happy to discuss in case of a combined shipping.

    Good morning!

    Grimlock:
"Actually Omega, while I still use my gun from back in the day. This sword isn't the one I fought many battles with back in the Great War."
Omega Primax: "What happened to that one?"
Grimlock: "After Sludge died, I snapped. From what others told me, I quickly jumped forward and split Cyclonus in half upon my sword making contact with his head. Then I apparently attacked the remaining Sweeps with it until it shattered. Then my jaws went into action from what I was told. I had to been restrained after the final battle by nearby Autobots. I probably would had killed every surrendered Decepticon on Chaar from how much rage I had. The war took a lot from me, but having basically my own brother die in my arms. That broke me."

Another day of ballache admin. Hurrah!
Got the old Generations Blackshadow out the toy chest to have a play with. He remains one of my favourite cHUG figures. If someone did an upscaled version I would be alllllllll over it.
I love TR Skyshadow. He's a great toy. But the old mold really nails the looks for me.

Just one minor issue with Topspin, where do you store his guns for an unarmed cocky bastard cross-armed stance?

    Swagga.JPG

Only places I can figure are on his wings or lower legs and, nope, they won't do!

(BTW I love how the combined guns also look like a Mining Tool, though that's more Twin Twist.)

New releases certainly slowed for a while but increased again in the last year or so, the GOTG2 ones are the first I've bought but I'm also looking at Daredevil, Punisher & Elektra.

There's also a Colonial Marine with a chestburster which somehow manages to make that gruesome scenario look cute. And the least scary Alien Queen toy ever :p

One bit of TF news over the weekend that's been of intrest to me is Perfect Effect have confirmed they're making Dragon Megatron as a counterpart to their Optimal Optimus. Will be very intrested to see how it turns out.

As shall I, although given PE's prices it'd have to be REALLY impressive to bother my wallet. That said, the original TM2 Megatron is one of those toys that always missed the mark by inches, having a near-perfect dragon mode with a weird and unfinished-seeming tail, and a robot mode that's articulated but utterly unposeable. And the damn thing's a nightmare to transform.
