Have you seen the Unicron.com Q&A?

I really liked the answer to my question the most.

The hasbro Q&A is fine the problem is the fans. All the questions in your picture are just plain stupid. They either have been answered or our unanswerable. People need to use there brains and stop asking "When is this coming out" and "when will you make this" questions. It's a waste of hasbro's time.

I'm aware of that. The point is that "better" questions also get bad answers, while other sites asking the same kind of questions again suddenly got solid answers.

well the likely answer to that is that there is more then one person answering the questions and one of them sucks at it. My experience from the star wars Q&A is that over time the Q&A's can be highly informative and share very interesting and fun info

Maybe Hasbro is just trying to make sure they dont give all their scoops to the same sites, because it hasn't seemed like "lesser" sites have been getting all the good answers all the time.

Agreed with Nevermore. I never participate in those session without until someone tells me who determines the "submitted" questions. Dang it why my products are coming with defects now.

The similar questions on this site seems to get answered and most of the time it doesn't mention anything with an informative value.

To be fair, if you don't participate, why complain about the quality of the questions submitted?

Hasbro's Q&A is just like a Presidential Conference. Question must be screened before asked because they already have answers that are pre made. So straight simple answers dont exist.

I think there needs to be a little bit more organization among the sites involved, so we'll stop seeing 3-4 sites submitting the exact same question. I also wish the person selecting the questions to send, would diversify them a little bit.

It's probably the same person submitting the same question on multiple sites. :p

Maybe it's more the timing of the questions rather then anything else. Like when site A) asks "when is product X coming out" in January and Hasbro tells them they can't comment on that at this time and then site B) asks "when is product X coming out" in May and Hasbro responds "In three months!", maybe, just maybe, they blew off the first site's question because it actually was too soon to reveal any information about that product.

A lot of the fan based questions are "when will you do this" and "when will you release that" and Hasbro will frequently respond by saying "We can't discuss it at this time." Because, legally speaking, they're most likely not allowed to actually discuss that thing in question or possible action people are curious about.

    I'm aware of all that.

As a matter of fact, I was actively telling people to refrain from "(When) will you release toy X" questions myself and spread the word when Hasbro supported that notion.

What I'm making fun of is that some question which Hasbro should really be able to answer get PR-washed non-answers as well, while sites that ask the dreaded "when will you release X" questions are in the lucky situation to get their question answered.

So my point is basically that the Hasbro Q&A is a lot like playing the lottery. If you're unlucky, no matter how good your question might be, you will get a crappy answer because only the PR intern is available, while someone who is lucky enough that the guy at Hasbro who can give a conclusive answer is just around when the question is about to be addressed will get exactly what he wants.

So in the end, it's really like "let's submit three random questions and hope that one of them is in the pile that gets addressed on Tuesday when Eric has time".
