FIRST POST WILL BE UPDATED IF U DON'T WANT TO LOOK THROUGH THE PAGES!! --LAST UPDATE 8.10--

While waiting for parts to come in, when I got my hulk I figured I had enough to at least get a head start on my first project. I'm gonna post my progress thru out the coming weeks or months depending on how this goes :)

my plans for this build include:
    -fully articulated
-about 5 LEDs (head, chest, both towers, weapon)
-detachable cannon/tower that plugs into the arm for robot and city modes
-re purposed six-gun(either minicon that attaches to base and weapons or a shuttle, i haven't decided yet)
-mini-con slammer that can be stored in a back compartment on metro.
    -custom scout class scamper

Day 1(an hour or so lol)

I started off the arms and finished the wrist assembly. The hand is still rigged on there I should have it fully on there tomorrow.

    Day 2

I finished the arms, sadly I cannot continue till I can find the two other bots I need for the project, so it may be a few weeks before i can start it up again.

    Day 3

got my metroplex in and started up once again, arms are fully attached to the chest and in working order. starting on the head probably later today, so i might update it once again. i also might need to add some support to the landing pad section as its really not strong enough to support the added wieght of the arms, it locks but its really sensitive.....

Got the head mocked up and ball jointed :)  sorry for blurry pic my phone sucks
    [IMG]

    Day 4-6

legs almost done and mocked up to the body....almost done with all the building then its just wiring and paint!.

    Day 7
finished the chest and legs are almost done. i also mocked up the rest of his parts

    Day 8
got a lot of extra stuff mounted on. ALMOST DONE!

    Day....umm 14 i guess
weapons are mocked and ready to be finished. cant glue until i get leds however.

Oh, cool. Since the entire wrist flips back, I guess that'll let you have a nice smooth-topped tower.

yea im actually planning on making an attachable weapon to that peg so it can be a tower in alt mode and a big cannon in robot mode.

*also updated post with details on build

thanks dood, the hands are from a megamorph hulk i found on ebay for 15 bucks last week, and the wrist assembly is from a rid magnus, which i took a pic below.

and updated as i finished both arms.

The arms and fists sure do look big and Metroplexy enough. I like your idea to repurpose the legs as arms. I will follow this :)

Thanks, can't take thecredit one the arms I believe malfunction used em first. Although mines not gonna have all the fodder around em.
Thanks. I'm thinking of just buying a junker metro cheap for the time being to continue this, and buying the finisher pieces later. I was trying to find a decent mostly complete one for cheap but doesn't look like thats happening.

production starts again, updated the first post as well. started on the head but had to take a break due to my crappy dremel running out of juice. i need a corded one so bad ><.

and finally bought the last piece of the puzzle, so now i have everything i need to complete it, minus a few finishing pieces of course....

hey man... if you give more info about the dremel I can teach you how 2 wire it & let it run via an extentioncord + adapter, in general just need 2 know the Voltage & amps of the battery... then find ourself a 4 example 2nd hand adapter with the corresponding specs (or buy a universal one which can b adjusted etc) well then rest is simple soldering or hotglue + tape (which the latter worked on mine :D

perhaps...but i really need a new one anyway none of my drill bits for it fit anyway(tape around them right now to work). the cheapest corded one on their site is like 35 which would be fine for now, but ill let u know if i get mad enough at it to do this, as might happen since it died again halfway thru finishing up the head lol.

Get one of the Black and Decker ones, much cheaper, corded and takes all dremel parts. Ive had mine working perfectly for years, and has 3 power settings which work extremely well. Think it only cost me about $20 at Target. Iv'e had 3 Official Dremels and they were junk in comparison. Nothing worse than the battery dying while your working and the motivation is strong to finish. Anyways, this is coming along very nice! Look forward to progress pics.

Hey man! Looks great so far! I like the head you've made for him. Any plans on extending his midsection? Can't wait to see more! :)

heads giving me the most issues, i like the size of the ball joint and length it has from the chest(i cant stand when a head is just propped to far up), but its also giving me some clearance issues with the flip cannons on the left side. they can flip if the head is turned but it annoys me.

I used a Lego rod on a joint for my Metroplex to solve this problem.
I cutted it till i was satisfied with the position of the head

Got the legs pretty much done, and then mocked him up with most of the pieces i got for him.

still need to build up the mid section and decide what im gonna do with the antennas i may just leave em the little towers with an led in em or do the full towers, havent decided yet.
