this is a thread about your opinoins on the Transformers Vault. which was realeased in 2011. i found it very interesting and learned many new things. if you're a new fan of transformers this is the book for you. even if you're not new it is still the book for you. although, when taking out the removables some of them can be hard to get back in. it drove me   now what is your opinon(s)

It's pretty cool. No new information really, but it's nice to have. Yeah, some of the removable stuff is an absolute pain in the ass to get back in.

I just got this Friday as a belated/backordered Christmas Gift. As said, for me it wasn't filled with any new groundbreaking information (and I think it glossed over some sections that really could've used further development), but it's neat to have.

Really the only thing that keeps me from giving it a far higher score is that I got the Marvel Vault a few years back (also as a Christmas gift from the same person) and comparatively the Marvel Vault has a lot more everything; backstory, doo-dads, and content. Granted there's a lot more to say about Marvel due to 50 years of publication, making it a bit of an unfair comparison, but the quality does make it feel like there's a bit of a drop-off.

My daughter spilled something on my copy so I jumped at the chance to get another really cheap on Amazon. I kept the extra removables from the ruined one.

I got it when the Borders near us was closing. It's pretty cool, but the little pockets in some pages are a pain.

It's a great piece of literature for any Transfan, nice read with lots of nice pics and info. I like it.

And yeah, I nearly ripped the page trying to get one of those things back in, they just barely fit.

Just a heads up, but so does amazon. Exactly that price. And if you buy $4.50 more worth of stuff, you'll also get free shipping from them.

I thought this was an excellent book, but I'm a sucker for this type of thing. Even if it didn't have any massive revelations or "new" info, it looks pretty and is a worthy addition to my TF book shelf!

Personally, I was disappointed in it. I have the Star Wars Vault, which was infinitely more comprehensive, and when this was announced, was hoping it would be comparable. It was not. I think they played it safe, went with the minimal approach and didn't spend the time or resources to create a worthwhile item.

I felt it was a little bit "lightweight" compared to similar books (Star Wars). Got it cheap (£12), not sure I would have paid any more for it to be honest.

    Great coffee table book.

I think it's worth the money. Lots of non collecting people would love to leaf through that and relive memories.

For $20 or close to it, its worth every penny.

$50 for it and easy pass.

Still good crapper or coffee table material to browse either way.

I got mine from Amazon for $18 and change plus free shipping so I was pleased with it's content for that price. :D  (I always seem to have something on order from Amazon.)

I've read it from cover to cover and if you collect LOTS of TF books from the different series, there wasn't much in the way of NEW information, but it's nice to have to complete your TF book collection.

I read it at Indigo, tried all the little gimmicks and nothing. Even at rebate, I let it pass.

These are my thoughts exactly. I must say that I was expecting a lot more, though.

I think it's a great book for a casual fan wanting to know more. For the more seasoned fan, it's a bit of a disappointment.
