Thanks! It's good to know at least one deluxe from this movie will fit in with other pre-DOTM figures- the others all just seem too small.
Based on wheelbase(169.0 in), HFTD Deluxe Ironhide is 1/48 Scale. But based on official robot mode height(22ft) he is 1/52 scale. Based on toy height(5 in) and 1/48th scale Ironhide is 20 feet (6 meters) tall Sources: Wheelbase, http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...ck-equipment-mini-test-road-test-specs-page-2 Height: Wikipedia Toy dimensions: The Toy, and a ruler.
Id say 1/Really Huge Edit: A few pages back some had 1/700 jet on his runway, and that worked out pretty well.
I calculated some scales based on the size of Optimus Prime on his decal sheet, and it came out in the 1:600 + range. Since 1:700 is a common scale for model battleships (and model ships from Space Battleship Yamato, AKA Star Blazers) I decided that I liked 1:700 as an approximate scale since I could display Metroplex with tiny F-14s and F-18s on his runways and other ships beside him.
It's not unreasonable for the ship half as a human-scaled ship, but the train side is a different scale entirely -- or maybe sized as a train for cybertronians to ride. FWIW, I picked up a junker Omega to display the ship half alongside Metroplex.
Glad to see this thread is still going strong. When I finally got around to picking up Evasion Optimus, it kinda ended up reminding me how much of a pain it was trying to find semi-truck dimension back in the earlier pages of the thread. Wheelbases were pretty much the only thing that we could find, but that didn't help when some creative license were taken with the alt. modes (looking at you Classics Optimus, both of you) or if you had to find a specific model and its dimensions weren't available. Getting to the point, a nice "cheat" you can use is to use its width. Most semi-trucks fall between 96 inches and 102 inches wide. For example, the Freightliner cab that both G1 and Evasion Optimus are based on is listed as having a 96-inch cab. This would make Evasion Optimus about 1/44 scale and it would be 27.958 ft tall in robot mode, which matches up rather well with Optimus's official height of 28 ft. Of course, the same can be done for AOE Galvatron but I don't have the figure so I can't give an scale for that. His alt mode would appear to be one of the 102 inch cabs though, going off the general width given for Frieghtliner Argosy trucks. I hope this'll make finding truck dimensions and scale a little easier, if not just give another dimension to work with.
24.5cm at the top of his head 25cm at the top of his helmet I use the latter one: 1/34 in robot mode (28') (while 1/31 or 1/32 in truck mode) BTW, both HFTD Voyager OP (1/48) and DOTM Deluxe OP (1/57) have a consistent robot and truck scales. You can see that both the Voyager and the Deluxe have longer legs than the Leader. That may explain why the ROTF Leader OP is smaller in robot scale than in truck scale.
Does anyone have the G1 Dinobots' measurements? I'm looking to see what their scale is, and I haven't had those figures in a long long time. I know the real-world animals' measurements: Stegosaurus: 9 m long, 4 m tall (29.5 ft long, 13.1 ft tall) Tyrannosaurus: 40 ft long, 13 ft tall Apatosaurus: 75ft long Pteranodon: 23.8 ft wingspan at the largest Triceratops; 29.5 ft long, 9.8 ft tall Based on those measurements, how tall would each of the Dinobots be in-scale to the real dinosaurs?
Generations Voyager Rhinox is roughly 1/24th scale. From nostril to ass he is 6.5 Inches On a real White Rhino that Distance is around 4 meters. I used Google as a calculator. In robot mode (with hips collapsed) he is 6 inches tall, so his real height would be 12feet(3.6... meters) tall. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I've forgotten where I saw it: Rhinox's official height is 2 metres. If that is true, it makes him 1/13 in robot scale.
If his official height is 2 meters and I measured 3.6 meters that would make him 1.8/1 scale. EDIT: I misinterpreted what you said. You are right, with toy height compared to official height.
Actually, I don't have those figures but my friends sent me the dimensions of them: AOE High Octane Bumblebee Figure Altmode Length: 123 mm - 1967 Camaro Length: 4691 mm Scale: 1/38 (38.14 rounded) AOE Deluxe Lockdown Figure Altmode Length: 122 mm - Lamborghini Aventador Length: 4780 mm Scale: 1/39 (39.18 rounded)
It's good to see that Lockdown will be in scale with DOTM Barricade- I wonder how close Voyager Galvatron is to that scale? Anyone have one they could measure? According to this site Argosy Specifications | Commercial Trucks | Freightliner the Freightliner Argosy is 2590 mm wide.
The robot mode's a little over 12 cm at the head, so he's around 1/25 scale according to his official height. The lion mode is about 7 cm, which makes it 1/17 scale depending on how big your lions get. Edit: actually, now that I measure the lion's torso length, it's about 10 cm, which makes his lion mode the right scale with his robot mode, length-wise. It must be something in his lion legs that throw things off.
dotm que is 1/38 scale, making him 17 feet and 4 inches tall in bot mode in real life. too bad he's not quite 1/39, i'm gonna be displaying him with aoe lockdown lol
Does anyone have all G1 characters' scales combined in one post (or at least the first 3 series)? Masterpiece (1-20)? I'm trying to get together which figures I can put into a model railway set for the purpose of displaying the Transformers in a realistic setting, rather than sitting on shelves. So I'm wanting to arrange my Transformers in relation to railway scales so I can display them together. Mostly this is for Masterpiece and Binaltech, but also for G1 re-issues/Encore series cars. Based on Model Rail Scales/Gauges: N Scale (1:160) Blitzwing (Jet mode) TT Scale (1:120) H0 Scale (1:87) G1 Darkwing? S Scale (1:64) Z0 Scale (1:60) MP-03 Starscream 0e Scale (1:45) O Scale (1:48 US, 1:43.5 DE/UK) MP-10 using UK O scale L Gauge (1:38) Generation 1 cars (approximately) 1 Gauge (1:32) ? 2 Gauge (1:29) ? G Scale (1:24) any Binaltech If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.
