Yeah this a pretty weird thread. But I gotta ask you guys, do you like the transformation sound they use in Prime or the sound they use from G1? Discuss!

I'm okay with the transformation sound of Prime, but I do wish they had gone the Movie route and used different sounds for different characters.

I mean, in the Movies, we have the high-pitched jet noise for Screamer, the truck sounds for Optimus, the super-quick shift of Mirage, the distintive clank of Megatron and all that good stuff.

Me too. Do you remember the first movie, my friend? Watching the rotors of Blackout fold back in that ominous fashion, before fully converting into titanic death monster? Optimus' first transformation in the alley, with all the gorgeous visuals and sounds of everything shifting into a new form, with the other Autobots shifting as well?

Man, I love the Movieverse transformations....

Yep. Now the vehicle front flips and they're in robot mode...

They just aren't fun or cool in this show. You can't see anything that happens and none are unique. The sound sucks too, it's like a watered down Classic effect.

To be perfectly fair the transformation sounds in Animated aren't really spectacular either.

Myself I enjoy them. They're simple yes but they get the job done too.

Bully for Animated. We're not talking about Animated.

I love Hardshell's transformation in his episode. He just hunches over, pieces realigning, the horn extending, and he pretty much leans over into insect mode. It's nice and slow, and I enjoy it. Or Megatron in Crossfire, where I see his shoulder-pieces, knee-pads and fusion cannon slide into place.

Neat stuff like that, you know? Some slower stuff here, some extra detail there.

I'm fine with the noise being used, it's iconic after all, but I would rather just have normal metal noises. Sometimes iconic just... well when it comes to 80 cartoon icons it usually equals cheesy.

That has nothing to do with Prime.

Get the job done? This is TRANSFORMERS, I'd like some variety, uniqueness and coolness to the transformations.

I like the Prime transformation for what it is. Simple and quick. They don't look or transform like they do in the movie so it makes sense for them to not sound like it. Plus, I've always been a fan of the five chirps. I really want it as a text tone for my android.

in season two they've gotten alot better with the transformations lol. I usually don't like lond transformation but in prime it's pretty kool like when arcee transformed into a motercycle on the nemisis ( they actually made her mass shifting look legit ) the hardshell's, nemisis prime's, megatrons, wheeljacks. ect

Yeah, now in season 2 we actually see pieces moving into place. Instead of a back flip, and their in or out of vehicle mode like season 1.
