I see what you did there. Though the idea of a Ghostbusters-esque Sentai team would be pretty kick-ass.
As I've nearly gone bankrupt with Gokaiger, I'll probably just get the Minipla kit of Gobuster-oh for the meantime.
That is the best Megazord I have seen in a long time! Wow. I might save up and try to buy the Japanese Zords or once, because I know Bandai of America will butcher them with their "retails for $25 or less" megazord rule.
It's really going to cost you this time, as they're selling the three mecha individually as compared to a set as they've done for many years. I think this is to make up for the more complicated designs of the mecha, since each is a transformer by itself and Red's is a triple changer. Still, I would argue that because of the complexity, unless Bandai of America ups the price-point, these figures won't come to us unscathed so a Japanese purchase is wise.
Well, when the Thunder Zords/Dairanger's mech (I don't know what it was called) were brought to America, the red Dragon was separated from the others. So maybe they'll do the same for the American release if all the components are sold separately as well? (As long as it isn't redesigned to work with all the other PR2011 toys, I guess)
With Bandai of America these days, the toys will most likely be watered down versions of these. Entirely new toys that lack the triple-changing, minibot-to-head features of these, with less paint apps with detail replaced by stickers, less detailed sculpts, and different plastic. The days of a $40 zord are long gone.
I guess that's the sad truth... I can only hope the Japanese release will be readily and easily available, since buying 2 or 3 (Don't know if Blue and Yellow will be sold together or separate) could be a pain if I wait too long.
Of course they would. A giftset is just so much easier (And, for importers, somewhat (If not much) cheaper). However, on the off chance that they don't release a giftset (Or only do so as some sort of rare/recolored version like the Black/Gold versions), I'm just going to pick up the figures early on (So the prices don't inflate :c)
triple changer, combiner, two modes for the other two, and on top of ALL OF THAT, they are also head masters? this thing is combining all the cool concepts of transformers into ONE TOY! why didn't hasbro think of this before bandai?
The original concept for Powermaster Prime was kinda like that. Powermaster gimmick, a new Roller that transformed into the PM head, the small robot + armour up gimmick of course. And it had a jet mode. Understandably, that design ran ridiculously over the alotted budget, so the gimmicks were pared down considerably.
Wow, their suits really look very leathery! I thought it was a trick of light during the preliminary photos, but these new ones seem to confirm it.
The little rabbit bot thing is kinda stupid looking. The cheetah and the gorilla do their part, but what the hell's with the R2 unit cosplaying as Pikachu?
