I remember hearing about a new Tick action figure about a year ago, but I thought I heard it was canceled?

I've got the Indie Spotlight Maxx figure and I'm happy with it, the design is spot on but the engineering suffers a bit. Several of his joints are loose, he holds a pose but a few parts like his left elbow and wrist pop off their ball joints too easily. In contrast, the head's ball joint is too tight and can be stresses by swapping heads. If Tick actually makes it to release it should have problems like this fixed.

That actually looks decent. I would think about buying it but it's probably more than I'd want to pay.

I really like their Maxx figure and I plan to get the Tick as well. I think they're doing Arthur as well, as a BAF or mailaway or something.

A note on the price - if Tick is the same size as Maxx, he'll be HUGE and well worth $25.

Man I love the Tick. I went on an ebay spree for the old Bandai toys about 7 or 8 years ago. My favorites are Bounding Tick, I dig Dinosaur Neil Tick and the Steel Box.

I would have loved to see these characters in the 3 3/4 inch scale so we could get vehicles and playsets (Arthur's Apartment would be rad).

That's the first place I've seen the regular version available alone. BBTS -- at least when I checked last -- only had it available as part of a set of the whole wave.

Never ordered from Shocker Toys. They OK?

I've only got Bounding Tick, but I keep meaning to track down some others. I really want Fluttering Arthur and Sewer Urchin.

Well you're basically ordering directly from the maker with Shocker Toys so they'd better be ok. I got the Maxx figure directly from them and didn't have any problems.

Oh... duh. Guess I'd never paid attention to who was making these.

Indie Spotlight Series1 will be available in Hasting Entertainment in a week or so. Series2 will soon follow and we are currently working out a deal with Toys R Us.

    Whoa.

    Hi, and thanks! :)

Really wish there was another way to get Arthur. Beyond Dick Tracy, I have no idea who the rest of the characters in wave 2 are.

That is the fun of Indie Spotlight. People who collect the whole series get to learn about cool and exciting characters they never knew about, while still getting a mail away and a whole slew of the MEGA figure's accessories.

I appreciate your responses and this sentiment, but... well... I'd prefer to learn about characters in ways other than having to buy them in order to get completely unrelated characters I already care about.

It's like having to buy a GIJoe vehicle in order to get a TF exclusive.

You may have misunderstood what we meant and we are sorry if you took what we said as a you must buy statement. The way it is set up is you find out who is in the series and look into the characters whether it be by thumbing through some of their comics or online research. We didn't mean you have to buy the characters from us to see if you like them. If you do the research and you do like them you will collect the ones you like or if interested the whole series which will get you the bonuses and mail away. It also helps support all the creators involved as some of the less known have a chance to be better known. This line is not about flooding the shelves with toys it is about the Indy comic community and bringing it all together and getting it the exposure it deserves.

i may get the Tick from this, and i still want a Scud from wave 1... but not sure about the rest... i want to see an entire series that's all based on Invincible... that'd be so worth it... and the BAF could be Battle Beast... :thumb

We don't do whole series for one license but more of a spread, we may even bring some more supporting characters out in future series such as Maxx, Dick Tracy, Grendel and so on. As for Invincible it would be cool to see who makes the action figures, more then likely TMP as Kirkman is one of his partners and they are all together in Image United.
