I just ordered RTS Grapple (or Grappel, whatever) today on HTS. Once I get it, it will be the last generation/RTS figure that I want. All of a sudden I feel a little bit let down. When I drive past TRU the next time, there will be no reason to stop in. I'm wondering if I enjoy the thrill of the chase as much as the toys themselves...

The hunt can be fun for a while, but eventually it just becomes a pain in the ass.

When distribution is good around Christmas and movie launches, I love the hunt. It's a lot of fun and I find what I want at least 1/3 of the time. In the spring when the stocking sucks, though, I just give up. It feels like my success rate becomes less than 1%. I'd rather save time and money and just get one big shipment. Than the thrill of the hunt is replaced by a new thrill. The thrill of opening an awesome package.

The only prey you can hunt over here is disappointment.

I guess that makes it extra nicer when I DO find something I wanted!

My faith in brick and mortar shops is all gone.
Even though I follow the latest threads to see what's in stock where... inevitably it leads to disappointment and I have to buy online.

I stooped hunting due to gas. I dave a lot just by ordering cases instead of driving all about town. Last month I split a 2x Wheeljack/Thundercracker/Kup/Scourge wave with an IRL friend, and I realized how much this saved me on gas.

Thrift Store hunting is funnier and easier on the wallet.

I hunt online as well now for the same reasons. Anything I find in the stores are just extras.

I am a recovering hunter...I truly enjoy the thrill of 'rounding the corner and seeing a bunch of new figures on the shelves, but the disappointment of instead finding 9 months worth of backstock 99% of the time has proven to be too much. I almost can't bring myself to do it anymore...especially when I'm still out hunting, while those that ordered online are adding the figs to thier displays. No sir, all of the latest figures were ordered online, and honestly it is so much less stressful.

I love the hunt when I can find stuff. I hate it when I can't find jack, like now.

Thrill of the hunt? There is no thrill anymore. The only thrill I get is seeing "in stock" on BBTS.
