Just wanted to kick the thread about for more input...and...I recently came across this: Digibash: - Thirteen Primes in the FAN ART SECTION...has some good visual ideas...

 

I have a few figures I see as members of the 13 Primes. Granted this isn't from any real continuity, I just like to think of them as the original warriors who fought Unicron in the beginning of "The Great War";

MP10v Optimus Prime
MP-28 Hot Rod
CW Ultra Magnus
TR Kup
ZhanJiang Dinosaur King (Dinoprime)
RID Scourge as The Fallen
Generations Jetfire (Nova Prime)
Masterpiece Voltron (Lion Force Prime)
TR Fort Max (Fortress Primus)
Omega Supreme (Omega Prime)

If they release a Star Saber figure I'll probably remove TR Kup from this list and put him in it.

 

Mine's the same as Aligned, but instead of Optimus it's got the Last Autobot.

 

I voted "other" primarily because my treatment of the Primes is somewhat varied and unconventional, like lately I have started to refer to them as the Twelve because there are, well, twelve:

1. Prima — Leader, justice obsessed and probably sanctimonious guy. No toy because Hasbro sucks.

2. Liege Maximo — Evil, manipulative dude. No toy... Hasbro sucks.

3. Sentinel Prime — One of the original Headmasters and the first Titan. Titans Return Sentinel Prime w/ Infinitus will remain his toy.

4. Solus Prime — Supportive lady who is really badass at forging items, including magical ones. Guess what? She has no toy. Why? Hasbro's incompetent (they suck.)

5. Quintus Prime — No toy. (Jesus Christ, there's a toy line right now that's named after the Primes and there's nothing on the horizon.)

6. Micronus Prime — Tiny guy who powerlinks. Prime Master Micronus is currently my go to representation. Somewhat unsatisfactory because Micronus is typically depicted as green.

7. Alpha Trion — Wizard who possesses great knowledge (and probably knows some wicked Kung If.) Surprisingly, Hasbro has a satisfactory (and even cool) representation in Titans Return Alpha Trion w/ Sovereign.

8. Onyx Prime — Beast mode guy who is in tune with the natural world. No toy.

9. Alchemist Prime — Scientist who can manipulate the chemical properties of things. Zilch when it comes to toys.

10. Nexus Prime — First Combiner. No toy.

11. Amalgamous Prime — A guy very good at transforming. No toy.

12. Vector Prime — Master of time. No toy

I am unsure I should even be posting here because of how few I have as toys here. It really just goes to show how sorely lacking Hasbro has been in releasing toys of the Primes.

But wait, there's more, by combining the features of the Primes in the most logical way I reduced the number...

1. Solus Prime — With her Forge, she is able to manipulate the chemical properties of objects to suit her ability to "forge anything." Also revered as a life giver by religious sects of Transformers.

2. Alpha Trion — Wise, possessing great knowledge that is key in growing young minds and getting them in tune with their own nature.

3. Liege Maximo — Manipulative, selfish and cruel. Sows dissent in the Primes and is the de facto "evil guy" of the Primes. Rumor has it that he is Unicron's only successful attempt at infiltrating the Primes.

4. Micronus Prime — One of the kindest of all the Primes. He can make others "feel" the abilities of one another and use them, including his vast strength as a Prime. Can sustain a Combiner, instilling it his own wisdom and conscience.

5. Onyx Quintus Prime — Giver of life and in tune to the nature of evolution and life on Cybertron, this guy's a little gruff but nothing too bad compared to Maximo.

6. Vector Prime — Holds great knowledge of the stars and the flow of time. Some may even say he can manipulate and travel through time itself. Leads the Primes with his mighty Star Saber.

7. (Bonus Prime) Sentinel Prime — Guardian of justice and he link of the Primes to the stars. The first Titan, displaying the amazing ability to split into two in order to interact with smaller bots.

I imagine in my Six Primes, Nexus Prime might just be the result of them all combining. Considering the point of this reduced list is to make it easier find all the Primes I "need", it seems like a bad idea for it to be a requirement for them to be combinable.  

 

Why are the IDW Thirteen and the Aligned Thirteen different options in the poll? Aren't all the members of both groups the same?

 

The members may be the same...but...since I'm not thoroughly versed...it made more sense to seperate...as the possible differences between them... could be why they were picked as inspiration...not...to mention... when I've made polls... if you compile choices together...there are questions/concerns over why they weren't seperated...

 

Well, in response to questions as to why they weren't separated, it's simply because every single member of both groups are the same. The only real differences are personalities, such as Nexus being an arrogant jerkass in IDW but being courageous, self-sacrificing and very noble in all other portrayals. Besides, it seems that Hasbor is now more or less sticking to the Aligned/IDW roster as their personal "canon" going forward.

 

This. There is no need for Macguffins or gods.

 

It is a damned if you do...damned if you don't scenario...I guess ...any possible even small differences...is why someone would be upset...for having to vote for something they don't care for...

 

I actually like the Aligned 13 Primes best.

 

A prefer how WFC did it: Prime is a spiritual title, passed on with the death of one prime to the next. There can never be two primes at the same time.

Now, if you want to make the Thirteen the first primes... I have no problem with this. But that means Alpha Trion can't be a Prime

 

When did the Last Autobot become a Prime? Thought he was just a weapon left by Primus.

...that's why I said my prefered way is that Trion isn't a Prime.

Woah, so is that a knockoff of anything? I don't really recognize it and my browser isn't a fan of the link. Looks like a type of dragon not often seen in Transformers.

 

The price of that dragon jumped up $5 sometime in the last 15 minutes. lol. Shouldn’t have let it sit in my Aliexpress cart so long before deciding to buy it. Guess it’s popular.

Glad I finally took a look at this thread though. It actually helped me realize so many figures I have that I could repurpose as the thirteen. Some are probably going to need new heads though. I’ll post my list once I figure out a couple of the Primes I’m still figuring out.

 

dang, glad i got one earlier at the lower price. out of curiosity, do you know who you have in mind for alchemist prime (if youre using him that is)? hes like the one on my list im not entirely sold on
