Why do you say that? We never said International entries aren't allowed. We have members here from all over the world, including myself, and wouldn't want to exclude anyone.

I'd love to try this, but the mess it would make vs. time involved vs. my odds of winning vs. my luck in past contests makes me just say no.

Have fun! I can't wait to see the results.

I have some cool scenes in mind. Does anybody mind if I harm any animals or pre-Hominid man-apes?

Seriously, give it a try. I know my skill level and I know it's nothing compared to some people here. I'm really doubting I'm going to win, but I'm going to make an entry anyway. Whether or not you win, people can post the pictures after the contest is over. That's going to make for some great viewing, like the design-a-faction-symbol contest.

If you don't have the time, then that's understandable. If it's mostly because you don't think you're going to win, give it a try and have some fun.

And, yeah, I'm not just aiming this response at you MMM. I think it needs to be said for everyone who just knows they're not going to win. If you don't have the time, you don't have the time. Otherwise, have some fun with it.

(Maybe the board members can scratch up a 'Plan 9 from Outer Space' award for the non-winning entry that amuses people the most.)

Not expecting to win and already have a shopping list of corkboard, fiber optic wand, and cotton balls.

This is like, twelve kinds of cool and a full-package of suck all at the same time. I was planning something massive for my toyroom in about two months time, when I had time to clean it, repaint it, and get it put back together, but now I'm thinking, all the things I was planning for that, scaled down to be transportable for a quick picture or two for this contest. . .

If only this had come a couple months later. Oh well, onto the small scale idea.

Is picture quality a factor? Not all of us have nice shiny cameras.

    Cool contest, though.

If we can't see what's in the pics, then that will be a problem. So long as we can clearly see what is going on, then it should be fine.

I know you said no non-tfs, but what about in the backgound? I have a Lego town setup that is just asking to be invaded...

    Excellent idea!

Hope I can manage the time to do it.... and also, get the inspiration, because right now I don't have an idea about what to do.

Did I leave out the "vs. my girlfriend would kill me for taking up the floor of a whole room for a day or two with toys"?

It would be fun, but no, Just - no.

is there a limit to the photomanipulation? Basically, to really sell my submission, I need more particular figures than I own, so can I digitally add figures I don't have?

I ask because I hate to be dishonest and use outside images to increase my ranks. I bet I can still pull off what I need to without doing it, but just in case.

the first post clearly states that you are to take a picture of toys that are in your collection.
