Mr Xenophilious Pink, our 2-year-old boy:
Cherish your feline friends all, cause they can't be replaced and a good friend isn't something you find on every street corner....
Last night we had to put my kitty Buster down. His liver was shutting down and his blood was toxic. He looked so sad and we couldn't let him suffer any more. Vector Kyle utilizes the power of vector prime to go back and save Buster from sickness.
Awww, poor kitty. Very sorry for your loss.
It's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, so you have my sympathies.
Thank you. It was rough because he would still purr and have moments of being his normal self.
It's so gut wrenching, making me tear up thinking about it.
Do you mind if I ask, I saw his paw in the pic... did he injure it.. was that the problem to start??? The reason I wondered one of my kitties did tear up his paw tree climbing, or jumping back down from a tree, he tore it up so badly they wanted to put him down, but I told them I could at least try to keep him and his leg... it took months of me washing, cleaning the wound, keeping him off of it.. but he recovered and is still with me.
Not at all. Actually that's an older pic. What you see is a baby's sock. We bought them because my other male was the only one in the house to not have natural "socks" on his feet. We pick on our cats a lot with things like this. Somehow Buster here wound up with one.
Buster had liver failure. Wasn't cleaning his blood so when he ate he would feel worse so he quit eating. The nurse/assistant showed us normal blood and his blood and you could tell looking at it that it was toxic.
Hazel is getting fat. 7 months old and weighs 8.5 lbs.
I just came back from putting my old man down. He was 18, and I feel like I lost a child. I’m devastated.
This is our soon-to-be kitty, named Astro!
We've been approved to adopt her, and we can't wait to bring her home later this week!
We've got everything she needs, plus tons of toys, space, and unlimited love to give her- this will be one totally spoiled cat. ^_^
I feel your pain friend. Keeping you in my thoughts.
My cats are Charlie (11, who my wife calls "buff-colored" but other people say it's tan or light orange) , Xander (10, the dark one), and Penelope (6, the fluffy one). They hold my house in a fragile peace that could break into war at any time. Charlie is sweet but feels an occasional need to remind the others he's not to be trifled with. Xander is bad attitude in fur, probably because he was raised by dogs before we got him and he never learned to cat properly. Penelope, being the clumsiest feline ever, is responsible for quite a few deep scratches from jumping onto laps and falling off. Also, she's most likely to knock over my Transformers when I have some on the coffee table.
My condolences to everyone who has lost their friends. It's a terrible feeling.
My Jazz just turned 1!! Happy Birthday!!
Okay, so update time.
Hades is an amazingly cool cat. He's also pretty much "my" cat. He likes my daughter and girlfriend, but follows me around and hangs out wherever I am.
I really do love the little fella. It took a bit of time for the other cats to accept him completely, but it's all good now. One of the others, also a black cat is his best playmate. They sit and chat, then chase around like crazy. It's fun.
Here he is barely awake...
Wondering why I'm bothering him...
With his favorite toy...
REALLY, really, love the one with his fave toy. He's so big now.... look at those killer paws!!
He actually is pretty big, but not BIG. He's lanky, with the longest tail in the house.
My cat, Molly, in just 24 hrs, has come leaps and bounds from where she was- she's adjusting extremely well!
Wednesday she was 100% terrified of the TV. She was born and raised in a shelter, so it's no surprise she's intimidated by such things.
When the TV's off: No problem.
When the TV's on: She USED to hide under the couch, but that's decreased by 90% since last night.
I placed some treats in front of the TV, with the TV on, to convince her to face her fear (whatever that fear may be), and she was hesitant for a while- she'd walk half-way across the room, smell the treats, cry, crawl under the dinner table, and watch the TV from there. LOL
But eventually she gutted up, carefully trotted up to it, ate the treats, and the more she ate them throughout the night, I think she understood: There's no threat. And this is just 24 hours- give her another week or 2: F--- the TV, she won't even notice it. lol
We've started letting her into our bedroom- she cuddles with us on our bed, and couldn't be a happier, more relaxed cat- she's our special feline lady. ^_^
When I come home from work and lay on the couch, she hops on my chest and gives me kitty kisses! She seriously presses her lips on mine, and rubs her face on my beard- it's the cutest heart-melting thing- it kills me every time!
She fell asleep on the floor last night, and we couldn't help ourselves- too cute of a photo opportunity.
