So awhile back managed to snag an Electromagnetic Soundwave, and to be honest this has to be one of my favorite pieces in my collection...but doesn't really go with any of it on my bookshelf. It's a nice take on Soundwave, and the white/teal/purple color works out amazingly for it, but the scale just throws it out of whack with the rest and I can't repurpose him as another character.

Yet I find myself not wanting to get rid of it either.

So just for the sake of curiosity, has anyone else found themselves in a similar situation, having a TF they loved that just doesn't go with their display at all?

PCC Spastic. I found him at Walmart a couple months ago (without the Over-Run stickers, oddly), and he was the one PCC mold I actually liked. I picked him up and keep him out on display, but he's just sitting on my odd-ball shelf, where he manages to *still* look out of place.

Animated Lockdown... In a shelf that is Classics-centric, he looks like a playskool toy. But damn it, I gotta love him.

I don't really do movie toys, but Buster Prime is a lovely toy.

Predaking. He's not Optimus Prime, he's not a base former, and he's not a Brave. But I can't bear to let him go. Maybe I'll just come up with another collecting theme just be be able to keep him: "Big, Bad-ass, G1 Decepticons."

    Alternity Ultra Magnus.

I like him so much, but he just doesn't fit with anything else in my collection.

alternity megatron. Too small to put with alternators. Doesn't fit with anything else. I like him...but he is in a box with the titanium stuff...that I also have nowhere to put

    I have a few:

DotM Thundercracker. At this point all my movie toys are either repurposed as classics (NEST Brawn, Terradive), gone or relegated to a box somewhere, but I keep him around because his alt mode is so sweet and his bot mode just works.

Animated Rodimus Minor: Pretty much all my Animated stuff is in my son's room. It's his and he loves it all, but Rodimus is mine and stays mine. Such a nice toy, and he's already been broken once by my son, so he'll stay with me for a while.

PCC Leadfoot: The only PCC I keep on display. He's got a whole heck of a lot going for him as a toy.

Can't pick just one. My 3 collection focuses are super show accurate BW, classics (in a g1-redo sense) and MP. I also have an Optimus shelf so that collects a few stragglers. Even limiting myself to those goals, there are several figs I've picked up or not sold from when before I narrowed my collecting goals. Build King, Magnaboss, Animated Prowl, Drift, TM2 Spittor, Longrack, TFTM Voyager Ratchet, and Steelcore are just some examples of my stragglers

My few animated toys. Blurr, Rodimus, and Cybertronian Prime. Though at least if I throw a clear gloss coat on Blurr, I could probably stick him with my TFP figures without issue; he's got the right look.

Prime Dead End. He doesn't go with any of my other TFs (scale, style, coloration), but he does fit in nicely with some of my other toys:

Ditto. I gave the TFC add-on rifle and he looks great with it. I do have Alternity Convoy (Red and Silver), Silver Megatron, and all three Questors/Seekers but they're still MISB. I may give the Reprolabels Jazz stickers to UM, or the Silver Convoy.

RTS Lugnut is also a figure I like but he's an odd fit with Classics and Bayverse. He looks pretty nice with TFP figures though he's not canon to that continuity.

Binaltech blue Bluestreak. I don't really have an Alt shelf, so this dude sticks out like a sore thumb in my misc. shelf, which is predominantly RID. Maybe someday I'll be bothered enough to make a BT/ALT/MP shelf. Maybe...

Rook's Proto-Tool isn't even a Transformers toy but I love it and use it as a Grimlock sword. For actual Transformers toys... probably Cybertron Metroplex. I use him as a FOC Metroplex.

    BW 2nd Starscrem & BB.

It... kind of works in my Starscream display, as it was meant to be a G2 Starscream initially. But I have it there mostly because it's an awesome pair of figures.
