The Superfund security truck may have not been a Decepticon.

Here's the Superfund truck, which really didn't do a damn thing, other than transport the pillars.

Maybe it wasn't a Transformer at all?
My guess is, Dylan and the other men working with/for the Decepticons just found a security truck, slapped a 'con insignia on it, and just used the truck for transportation.
    Only a theory.

That's what I thought too. Didn't even see a tf with that color or design based on that truck.

I still don't know what the point of that was anyways.

Maybe it was just so Bay could spread some mis-information.

I thought Superfund was seen transforming when the decepticons first invaded earth (like right before the garbage truck one was)

You said: "which really didn't do a damn thing, other than transport the pillars. "

Yes transport the pillars for the DECEPTICONS! and with the insignia I think transforming or not it is a vehicle for decepticon purposes therefore it is a decepticon.

I think it must have been a truck meant for the Decepticons' human cohorts as identification.

There's a Decepticon insignia incorporated into the shield on the door, so it's not merely slapped on. It'd be a bit weird for humans to design a specific logo such as that when they're being enslaved, not to mention TFs have been doing those types of spins all around the trilogy.

Had the toy line kept going I'd imagine Hasbro would've repainted Payload as the Superfund truck.

It really would not make sense for humans to slap a con sticker on a regular truck and transport it themselves when thousands of cons just invaded. I'd think it more likely it was a decepticon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the novel have the Bank truck as a Dread?

No, I believe it makes perfect sense to have a truck with affiliated logos. Probably helps the grunt-level troops in identifying which humans should be killed and which shouldn't.

Transformers can transform without crushing things inside them (Sam in highway scene) and while I can't remember if the unloading of the pillars was shown in the film, the novel has Soundwave doing it. This, to me, indicates it was a human vehicle. On the other hand, why was a Superfund truck helping the Decepticons? Does Dylan own this Superfund?

I tink it's a Decepticon. Why would humans waste time painting a Decepticon symbol on a truck while the Decepticons are invading and they have a job to do?

Probably just a Payload drone like the '07 truck mode not HFTD payload.
