Just got a copy of Prototype today and played the first few missions. So far I give it about an 8 overall.

So if anyone else got this game or is planning on getting this game post your thoughts here.

Looks like I will be confusing this with Infamous a lot. This game is on my "to get" list.

I won't be confusing it. IT looks awesome, to be sure, but being that they were being compared a lot, I did a lot of reading up on them and watching trailers. Aside from running around in a city of hell, the character abilities are very different, as is the story. I chose inFamous. I'll try this later. It reminds me of that semi-recent game about a guy with a glaive for a weapon.

Having played prototype for ... oh... well, a lot last night, if there's any game that it reminds me of it's Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. This is a good thing.

It is not, however, as good as Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, which is a pity. Fortunately, it fulfills that same animalistic rampaging dark desire corner of my brain urge quite nicely, so it'll do for now.

Oh, and the graphics really aren't adequate for a next-gen title. The main character looks like a douche in his permanent-hoodie attire. Doesn't really fit the bill for an employee of a supernational Genetics corporation.

Don't get me wrong, it's fun! It's just not AS fun. I mean, you're massacring chunky blood balloons en mass, which has its own level of enjoyment, but it's not quite at the level of surfing a tank through a crowd of soldiers, throwing it like a boomerang into a hunter robot, and then leveling a city block with the sheer force of your anger.

I haven't fought any bosses yet. Maybe as I get further in, my opinion will change, but right now it's kind of "business as usual".

I would recommend GB, but that is SO dependent on your preference.

I'm really leaning towards GB but I can pick up Prototype after work. Damn my child like impulses.

If you have Hulk: UD available, I'd say pick up Ghostbusters. If you've never played or don't have H:UD, then I'd recommend checking out Prototype. As long as you like the colors orange and grey, anyway.

I agree I was expecting the graphics to be a lot better. The dialog kinda sucks to. But c'mon the real reason to get this game is to smash stuff with your powers.

BTW I'm not sure but I heard altieres (sp?) the guy from Assasins Creed costume is unlockable. That would be awesome however I doubt it since two seperate companies made the games.

I'd feel like a huge nerd getting GB on day one though (not that I'm not already and no offense to those who are). Rampaging a city and cutting people in half is waaay more fun then catching ghosts IMO.

But I'll probably get GB when there is a price drop

I have to say InFamous DOES look a lot better but I don't have a PS3 so this will have to hold me over until about...christmas time.
