Unfortunately no, I don't think it was ever concluded. There was a rumor that the author for the booklets had the next chapter all written up and ready to go for Ginrai (the Alt Prime mold), but that was scrapped for what to him was some unknown reason.

Nope. Basically, they dropped Binaltech for Kiss Play and we ended up with some pseudo hentai innuendo story instead of the cool one we were getting.

Maybe if the Japanese concentrated more on stories than Hentai crap most of the stuff that comes from them in animation and art would be cooler.

The Binaltech story got a little too convoluted for my tastes. Creative, certainly, but trying way too hard to get everything in there. I lost interest.

the thing with the storyline was that it was ad hoc. based on what character was released.

i could totally see somewhere down the line takara investing on a manga on them, hopefully by ichikawa too.

If that were the case, it would end up being one of the greatest TF comics of all time. I mean, look at what Ichikawa did with Linkage. He took a moderately interesting toy gimmick like the minicons and made them actually interesting!

Meh on Binaltech. The "story" consisted of inflated glorified tech specs used as G1 Band-Aids.

    WHOA :redface2

Um the Japanese have PLENTY of excellent NON-hentai stories around

Inuyasha, Eureka 7, FMA, Bleach, plus plenty others that I don't even know of

It's one thing to not like Hentai, but is the sweeping generalization that the Japanese concentrate more on "Hentai crap" reall necessary? :peoples:

I felt that the storyline really started going downhill with Overdrive. Everything before that was good (especially the explanation for Ravage), but after Overdrive it just got weird and complicated.

Too bad the story was never completed. I had hoped Wheeljack and others would have found a way to survive the Movie events without destroying the timeline. With the body exchange “Geneotronic Translink” system I had hoped it would have ended in a way that no Autobot truely died. To quote Wheeljack:

“There must be a way to cheat death.” I believe he did.

So, that's the way the BT story will end in my TF Universe, Kiss play near-Hentai withstanding. I'd prefer a weird and complicated story over Kiss Play anyday. But then Kiss play is weird and complicated too.

Doubt it, as it was their death's that set in motion the events which lead to the destruction of Unicron and the retaking of Cybertron.

Change 1 aspect no matter how minor it might seem. Could cause a larger more unfavorable change down the line

Err... perhaps you should broden your horizons on the Anime front my friend. While I admit openly to not liking a great deal of Anime that gets released anymore... saying that it's all Hentai crap is a bit... extreme.

Especially when there a lot of non-hentai crap out there too... not to mention really good and well thought out anime. And, actually, some hentai with some really well written stories. La Blue Girl anyone? :D

That wasn't a "rumor". Ichikawa confirmed it directly via Doug Dlin.

Now, with the upcoming convention exclusive Black Convoy, who according to Fan to Fan is "BT-17", there MIGHT be a new chapter coming up.

True. However I still think the Autobots could have figured it out.

I like a great deal of anime, I was referring to the fact that the Japanese have this need to be perverted with most of what they put out there. All the young feminine boys or all the obsession with underage school girls that comes from there is out to lunch.

Anime can be cool if done right. Hentai can even be ok, when it's not some 40 year old pervert screwing some 12 year old school girl as the case most often happens to be in hentai.

I don't buy that at all. The Autobots surviving would have had almost no effect on the fact Unicron got beaten considering that it was a small group who actually defeated him. At the worst all it would have done was cause an alternate timeline to sprout from that point and onward meaning there were 2 timelines from then on. As is the case with Beast Wars and G1.

I'm sure that Ichikawa was writing the story to set it up so that the Autobots live, thus finally explaining how they were around for Headmasters and Victory
