I've got permission to do this from Shane (Both a Mod and the creator, two birds with one stone! :p ) so let's light this candle!

There really aren't that many rules for this thing, except you've got to have a title page for every update, so as to distinguish between sequels.

There really aren't any other limits to the project though. You could do a one-shot, an ongoing storyline, a parody sequel (I know Eric's going to do one of those), you and some other members could do a round-robin one continuity sort of thing, you could do a comic that occurs at the same time as Obsidian's Lament, the sky's the limit!

Oh, and one more thing, before you post any images, put a little synopsis paragraph, much like the ToC up above.

    Let's get this started! :D

Could I post some Post Beast Machines one shots that are unrelated to Obsidian's Lament?

Here's my first one shot comic for this thread.

A veteran of the Great War and an old friend of Optimus Prime watches Cheetor's first speech as ruler of Techno-Organic Cybertron.

:)  Well done! I've always hoped though, that Optimus would be around forever:cry

I like the backgrounds quite a bit. Where are they from?

Nice job with the story, and I'm guessing that's Beast Wars Ironhide, from Magnaboss? I don't have the figure myself. I'm rarely one to bring back old characters, but I like the way the story is a little nebulous about whether it's Optimus or just in Ironhide's imagination. Assuming I'm not misreading your intent of course. :)

I too have always hoped that Optimus Prime would rule Cybertron forever in all continuities but they never officially say what happened to him in Beast Wars or Beast Machines.

I'm glad you like the comic Shane. The backgrounds are from the video game Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy, though they have been edited a lot in Photoshop however and yes the toy is Beast Wars Ironhide from the Magnaboss set. I found the entire set of Magnaboss on ebay MIB for a inexpensive price and bought it with the story of this comic in mind and possibly more.

I did much the same thing. I got most of my Beast Machines Maximal collection off Ebay just to be able to use them in my comic. Hey, it's a good excuse to collect. :thumb

Nice one shot there. I got the impression that the spirit of Prime was indeed there, passing the torch to the new generation. Makes total sense. The torch always passes, sooner or later.

Looks interesting. So it's something like, Obsidian's Lament: Mosaic?

    Also, good one GhostLord.

Oh I will. Just as soon as I get a new computer, and Titanium Beast Machines Cheetor, I'll be ready to go!

Shane, you may not expect what my parody sequel will be about...go ahead, guess! :p

Thought I'd keep the thread alive with a one-pager, set in the middle of the battle at the end of Feral Impulses.

Even in a single page format, Shane's work is still awesome to read.

Nice one shot. I especially like Undermine's last comment. "What is the world coming to?" Sums up nicely his state of mind, starting to gain a grudging respect for his former enemy, despite his best efforts!
It means there is hope for world, Undermine. If a Maximal can win a Predecon's respect, there is still hope for Cybertron.

i don't have many beast wars/machine figures, but i have ideas...

i promise that i'd do my absolute best on these one-shots, not like my mistake ridden epic. VVVclick it. :)

Well according to the official sources, Prime had become a starship captain after the war. And just about every single official supplementary fiction to Beast Wars and Beast Machines has Prime very much alive.... though not on Cybertron.

I'm probably talking out of my rear end though.

And Shane, love your little one-shot comic.
