I was never that enthralled with the Jetfire design in the first place.
But it is nice and the remolded head is welcomed.

I'd be happy to just see the Leo Prime out of that mold as depicted by the LoC version of it.

Three hotel blocks have sold out, suggesting we're going to see a new high for attendance. Per FP's announcement, they only have 106 sets left.

When they do show up on eBay for even more, people probably will buy them, if previous exclusives are any indication. Especially the at-con and attendance exclusives.

So if you're considering the law of supply and demand, the latter is currently paced to outstrip the former. In that case, in accordance with said law, FP is actually underpricing the exclusives. I know people don't want to hear that, and I'm not saying they should raise the prices (better to keep ahead of demand than fall behind). But looking at the facts, no one can argue that FP is overpricing anything.

Now, if you want to argue whether or not they're making too much money on 'em...well, I'd still probably disagree with you, but that's a seperate issue from supply and demand.

After exclusives, I only hope to have enough for extensive parts hunting.

This is my second least favourite one out of all the figures (still looks to much like a Jetfire in different colours).

    Still looks awesome though.

Pretty much my sentiments exactly. He's still GOOD, no doubt about it. But I've never been fond of repaints that share a major color in common with one of the toy's previous color schemes, and this one's no exception. He just looks a little too much like Jetfire. Very nice head sculpt, however.

So, my ranking of this Botcon's boxset from best to "worst" (worst being a very relative term):

    Thrust
    Dirge
    Bugbite
    Dreadwing
    Thundercracker

Now I know nothing of Dreadwind, which is probably why I was expecting a black Jetfire repaint. As that is not the case, my bank account will be happy with me.

I'd probably get it if I had the matching shoes:

Great job, its been amazingly done, love the colours… but I just don’t see the point of the head retool, yes it looks great but a very passable dreadwind head could have been done but just painting the helmet right and that re tooling could have been put to making dirge look right. Sorry but that thought is staying in my mind and its going over done dreadwind Vs accurate dirge, I know which I would have picked.

But to every one saying this should be darkwing, I think it’s a lot more reasonable to imagine a bot updated his alt mode than completely changed his robot mode but kept his alt mode basically the same.

You added a word. FP says they only have 106 sets left. If there are any loose sets (I don't know), there'll be fewer than that.

I still want to know how many sets were made in the first place, but Pete's said they're sitting on that info for now....

Dreadwind looks great. I wish it didn't need the helmet, but what can ya do? Good representation of the original. I wish I didn't sell mine a few years back. (how much do they go for now? I think I sold Dreadwing for about $80)

No huge surprises, but i rather like it. Bugbite is the only one out of the 5 i'm indifferent to.
