A highly trained team of combat specialists protect the Earth from all manner of threats. Whenever there is a situation they are prepared, the Sentries! Human and Steel, the Power is Real!

Note: This thread is devoted to my custom 6 inch figures, inspired by Mantech, Centurions, Pretenders and similar lines. I'll start with a lot of recolors, and add custom bits as I progress. These guys have a lot in common with the Bi-Borgs in design and parts. Check out that thread for the Bi-Borgs.

    --

I'll start with the brave sea operation expert, Manta Sentry. His sonic bracers can disrupt any villain under the oceans.

Note: he inspired by Centurions Max Ray and Lost Protectors Mainsail.

Steel Sentry is the eagle-eyed guardian of the skies. With his Ironwing Sword and Birdshot Blaster, never gives up.

    Note: Inspired by Pretenders Metalhawk.

Edit: Major revamp uploaded. Removed the wings, changed the torso, shoulder pads, and weapons.

I'd think for a 6" figure design that there should be more articulation than basic Star Wars figures have. Looks like neck rotation, no elbows, and just forward/backward hips and hinge knees.

Thanks. Right now they are at 10 points of articulation in odd places (neck, 2 shoulder, 2 wrist, waste, 2 hip, 2 knees, 2 feet).

At this point they have more articulation than Mantech and G1 Pretenders, but not as many as Centurions.

I am constantly trying to improve the design. I plan to add elbows next!

Northstar Sentry is a Sentry of few words and unending patience. Like the storms of arctic regions he guards, he is an unyielding force of nature. Special optical and sonar guard in his helmet protect him from the blinding effects of his region. His Shatterfrost Axe can slice an iceberg in half, or cut down any foe he finds. Has a mysterious connection with the heroic rebel Bi-Borg Strike 1-Strike 2. (see here)

Note: Pretender Longtooth inspires this stoic warrior.

Aquarius Sentry is the official protector of the Aquarius Science Center where new Sentry armors are manufactured. His Neutron Rifle isn't as powerful as most Sentry weapons, but it completely bypasses all known defenses, directly damaging an opponent inside their armor.

Note: Aquarius Sentry is based on Mantech Aquatech.

Phantom Sentry is a mystery even to other members of the Sentries. No one knows where he came from, and there is no record of when he joined the Sentries, but he uses their unique technologies and communicates on their secret frequencies. He simply appeared one day aiding a group of outnumbered Sentries in a pitched battle. When asked about his origins he remains cryptic. Some even theorize outlandish theories that he is a time traveler, or visiting from a parallel universe... but that is impossible right? Phantom Sentry can become completely undetectable from all electronic sensors. To robotic, as well as cyborg armored opponents with electronic senses, he might as well be invisible. Phase Axe is nearly indestructible and is capable of disrupting electronics with extra dimensional energies.

    Note: Based on Pretender Waverider.

Shade Sentry is terribly mysterious, plus I think he can cut guns in half with his mind... But mostly he is terribly mysterious!

Note: Inspired by Black Shadow, with a touch of the Sphinx.

Cumulus Sentry is the air-attack specialist of the Sentries.

Note: An homage to Centurions Ace McCloud and the Sky Knight Assault Weapon System.

Probably only guys who enjoyed 80s figures like these would care for these now, which pretty much requires you to be a select minority among 45 year old men who never grew up, like me.
