I just got back from watching tf3! it was great, but MAN was i wrong about sp! I, personally, hate his gears and was happy of the site of him being killed. What are your thoughts on him, cool, despicable, dunno?

I thought he was one of the greatest villains of all time personally. The way he killed Ironhide was downright brutal and saddistic. He was way better then The Fallen and kicked everyones ass.

i agree with you there, but thats why i hate him. hes a prime which means hes supposed to protect ALL sentient life, not just his own.

glad they let megatron have some action and totally ripped him apart.

but the prime/meg fight after that seemed like they just wanted to end the film quick at that point. wish it had more dialogue.

To be honest, he was protecting sentient life, his race. He thought he was doing the right thing and didn't care what happened to the humans.

Umm... that's why he said, "ALL sentient life, not just his own."

I thought Sentinel was great, personally. I loved hearing the sound of the crown when he turned. You could hear the silence. (;) )

I thought Leonard Nimoy did and excellent job with the voice! It fit very well.

Anybody think it was slightly over the top when Sentinel said, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few?" This movie had so much Star Trek in it it was crazy. From Wheelie and Brains watching an old episode, to Sam telling Dylan his museum looked like the Starship Enterprise, by the time Leonard Nimoy starts quoting himself, I was thinking, did we really need all this fanwankery for a completely different franchise?

he was already a firetruck on the moon it seemed too, or are windshields a common robotic chest piece on cybertron?

Sentinel should've been given more backstory and motivation into why he betrayed the Autobots. I appreciate what they were trying to do with his character, but it felt forced and shallow. Killing Ironhide felt unnecessary, and then the big rampage he went on felt very Decepticon-ish.

They should've made Sentinel more woeful and sad- as if he hated himself for betraying the Autobots, but truly thinking it was for the better good.

I'm really not even sure it makes sense. I mean, who are the many and who are the few? I guess the many would be the Transformer race as a whole, who need a home. And the few would be... who exactly? Optimus's Autobots, who have a need to protect humanity? Maybe?

I wasn't sure if Sentinel really saw humans as life-forms, because if he did, then surely the many would be the SIX BILLION he planned to turn into a slave labor force.

reminds me, SP wants a slave race out of humans?
how the f*** would that work?

do you know how freaking more useful giant freaking robots are for heavy lifting?
ones that can turn into construction equipment at that.

As far as on screen character- one of the very best presented characters in the Bayverse (which sadly isn't saying much).

I liked him, and I loved hearing Galvetron's gravely voice return!

I thought SP's character was amazing. He was so sinister and persistant on what he wanted, he didn't care who got in his way, he just wanted to help Cybertron. Which was his utter demise.

i like SP up until he went ballistic and killed Ironhide. i think it was right for him to die, but maybe not the way in the film. Also SP being an Autobot (kind of) and being the main bad guy was terrible.
