Going by the Foundation spoilers Sentinel Prime was Optimus Prime's mentor. Course comics would likely be irrelevant once the DotM movie shows but this is an interesting parallel to the Fallen's relationship with Megatron.

Masters and students. Which brings to question if Sentinel Prime and the Fallen were ever enemies. The Ark and the Nemesis both crashed on moons.

Technically, Megatron refers to Sentinel as his mentor as well.

Which presumably might mean Optimus and Megatron working together briefly to stop Shockwave.

You know I wouldn't be surprised if DOTM pitches Sentinel Prime as the first Autobot in terms of founding the faction. Thus another parallel to the Fallen who founded the Decepticons.

    ^ Seems likely.

Not exactly what I'd like to see but, yes, likely.

I'm too in love with Sentinel Prime being a big-headed cowardly snow plough to think of him any other way, I guess.

Well, all signs indicate that they're from different eras - that Sentinel is just a descendant of the Primes, like Optimus is, rather than one of the original Seven/Thirteen/Whatthefuckever. So, Sentinel would never have had any direct interaction with the Fallen. But the parallel of them as their respective founders does seem like a solid one - "Foundation" hasn't used the word "Autobot" yet, but I'm assuming that's where it's going.

Hence the Decepticons predating the Autobots makes sense. Among Jetfire's rants were beside being a lousy boss the Fallen he said was spouting chaos and apocalyses. Which make me think with the original Primes gone the Fallen plunged Cybertron into hell. Sentinel put the pieces back together hence "For a time we lived in harmony" and "(Humans) are a primitive and violent species" "Were we any different?".

Primus? Its like saying their Creator started the Autobots. Foundation though is saying Primus is the first Cybertronian and direct ancestor of Sentinel Prime. But that would make Primus a Prime? If you are familliar with Transformers mythos you'll figure out Primus is Cybertron itself.

The ROTF prequels comics establishes the Thirteen were first Transformers. There were Seven Original Primes in ROTF. Hasbro giving a solution that the Thirteen were the first Transformers but only Seven are Primes.

The comics though are ultimately not in continuity with the movies.

I can see those two having something in common. But just imagen if The Fallen came back.

    TF: I'm baaaack!
    SP: What do I do?
OP: Just tear his face off
    TF: That won't work!
Op: Uh, yeah, it should. You face is being held on with duct tape.
    TF: No it's not!
    OP: Just rip it off!
    SP: Okay!
    TF: STAY AWAY! AH!
    (Face comes off)
