I'm sorry if there's a thread like this already, but...

When I played the first film's DS games(which I heard were better than the console), it seemed the voice actors there fleshed out their characters - so to speak. Now I imagine the video game cast as the bots in all related media.

Peter Cullen - Prime(no doubt about it, his voice sticks with it)
Mark Ryan/music - Bumblebee(can't really imagine Bumblebee talking, just not enough voice clips from the movie)
Fred Tatasciore and Robert Foxworth - Ratchet(I imagine a mix of Foxworth and Tatasciore)
Mark Ryan - Ironhide(much better than Jess Harnell, sounds more like a veteran and not so "goliath-processed")'
Andrew Kishimo - Jazz (when I look at Jazz, I imagine a cool, hip dude, not Cedric the Entertainer or Barry White. still, McCrary did a good job)

Frank Welker - Megatron(definetly, this one sticks - Weaving did a good job, but was too processed)
Daniel Ross - Starscream(much less processed than Adler, and more like a schemer)
Keith David - Barricade(the simple "badassity" of David, compared to the all-punch of Harnell. also sounds more scheming and calculating)
Noah Nelson - Blackout(sounds just like what a giant like him should sound like)
David Sobolov - Brawl(sounds dumb but tough, just like he should be)

I guess since there was hardly any robot dialogue, those voices from the game stuck :)  aw well, close this thread anytime you want

IMO Welker sucks as movie Megatron (the factt hat i absolutely hate his dying old man megatron voice doesn't help either) and should stick to freaking Soundwave.

Don't beat on Welker like that... He has contributed a TON to not only transformers, but all KINDS of cartoons. Look up his career and every role that he has had... Aladdin, Scooby Doo, Transformers, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Lilo and Stich, you name it! Seriously leave hi alone although I agree that movie Megatron needs a more evil sounding voice. I think that they could have done better than Hugo Weaving, but whatever... don't change the voice on us now!

I liked Keith David as Barricade and Jazz's voice in the games was okay, but for the rest I prefer the movie voices.

In particular Mark Ryan's Ironhide was bad, it was too obvious he was a brit trying to sound like a texan, and Daniel Ross as Starscream was horrible (and yes I am well aware certain people here are friends with Ross, I'm not dissing the guy, I just don't like his Starscream voice before you get your panties all bunched up).

I also don't like Welker's Megatron voice anymore. I wasn't a big fan of it back in G1 anyway.

Welker's G1 Megatron voice does not fit.

This plus it was a little off in the last game. With that being said and done, no offense to one of ,if not, the best voice actors ever.

I said that Welker sucks as movie Megatron.

However the rest of his job rates from good to perfect, in fact I really want to see him voice other robots as additional roles, Ravage maybe? His animal sounds are the most believable.

Welker was a great voice actor... in the 80's. However, his old, raspy voice does NOT fit Movie Megatron in the slightest.

Welker was and still is a voice acting god. That said, I think Bay was right by not having him voice the movie incarnation of Megatron. It absolutely does not fit. I'm not saying his Megs voice is bad, I even liked it in G1, but it just feels out of place here.

can someone post clips, voice samples on youtube or something?
