Hi Guys, I just got my order of 1:32 Roadbots from Ages 3 & up and thought I would share some pics of these fun little bastards

Good solid vehicle modes that look realistic and solid. Too bad about the painted windows though

The Roadbots have opening doors and trunks which was a nice touch

Sadly you have to remove alot of parts to transform these guys

But all the peices are used for robot mode

Where the Roadbots really shine is the multiple over the top weapons they come with

Looking at the pic of him and Bumblebee, that white one would make an excellent kitbash into Brawn. His head even kinda favors.

Hmm. I was almost going to order these off BBTS, but looking at the pics now I may hold off. They are really lacking in detail and look too generic. And I don't like having to take parts off to transform. But if I see them for cheap at a Big Lots or something, I'll swipe 'em.

These kind of make me think of what might happen if Gobots were still being produced today, they have the same low detail, generic aesthetic to them. All the part removal really kills it for me, that just seems like a cheap way to create a transforming figure.

I thought the Classic deluxes looked cheap, but next to the Roadbots, the look awesome.

Crap, I didn't know G1 Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Ramjet, Thrust, Dirge, Blurr, Octane, Wreckgarr, Optimus (his fists), etc.. are not real transformers.

ZING!! Are these the largest or smallest of those things? nvm I just remembered there are supposed to be some the size of BT or Alts. I would like to see those.

    Thanks for the pics

Would'nt mind getting these if they were local. Some chrome trimming and detail work can bring the realism out a little.
I like the Brawn idea and the other dude can be Overdrive

    Very true.

But by now, I think we're beyond that. I expect a little more from a Transformer produced these days... so I think it's a bit weak (or lazy) for these otherwise nicely produced Roadbots to cop out on the "perfect transformation" side of things.

Moreover, that was a BIG peeve of mine with the G1 figures you mentioned. Even Prime. And those figures are like 25 years old now.. :)

It's amazing how pics can change peoples minds, for only $7 these guys are fun enough for me to order the upcoming Celica and lance and maybe consider trying out a larger size. Its always good to have some generic bots lying around

    Roadbots You Say?......

I was hoping someone would start a thread about them again. I have seen a few pics here and there but not a lot of bot modes though. So here are some pics of my ROADBOTS. These are the ones that are 1:18 scale. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
