    Smurfette was made by gargamel to infiltrate the smurfs, so that he could capture them all. I believe this was while he still planned to use them to Transmute lead into gold. Later on he got fed up enough he just wanted to eat them or something like that.

    She was basically clay in smurf shape given life. Papa Smurf just put some more magic on her to make her a real girl or something to that effect.
