I don't think it's the disaster some are painting it as, yet it's clearly the weakest of the Movie Megatrons available.

Don't really get the lay-down-former remarks directed at this (and Deluxe MEGATRON) either. Personally I see much the same thing in the 'beloved' Classics JETFIRE with his 'robot lying flat with compressed limbs' for a jet mode (and he's a VOYAGER).

Why do so many of these movie toys make me think of that line from Calulon on Futurama "That's so horrible I think you gave me cancer".

Toward the end of Cybertron and the Classics line had me thinking Hasbro really had their stuff together, but either these movie toys were really rushed or Hasbro has really dropped the ball.

For a FAB, looks passable to me.

Average at best; easily the weakest FAB as far as I'm concerned.

 

Articulation doesn't seen that bad : head, arms move up and down, hips, knees, possibly waist. That's already much better than Jazz.

Really, is anyone too surprised? I mean it's just a FAB, they're not supposed to be overly spectacular.

 

Why does anyone always say this? Do you REMEMBER what Happy Meal toys look like? I WISH they were as good as this toy.

 

I want to know where all this yellow and red are coming from XD. The dude is pretty much silver-ish and dark grays... XD Damn toys and their bright colors to attract kids!

 

Despite the lack of elbows, FAB Meg's transformation is actually MORE complex than Voyager Meg's.

 

Wow. I think that's the first anything from Megs that actually has the Decep logo on his chest.

 

This design just can't look good no matter what medium or scale it's presented in. Pass.

 

This is what it comes down to. I don't get it. I've grown to love every single one of the movie designs. They're really something special...with one exception.

How can Megatron's overall design be this strikingly bad when every single other character kicks so much booty?

 

Perhaps it is because he isn't an Earthly vehicle while the rest are? He's a lot more alien than the rest who at least have Earth vehicle parts on them, so perhaps it is harder to connect with him because there is less to connect with.

Well, its a FAB. Its not meant to be the main attraction Megatron toy like the Leader class.
