I was just thinking of how awesome it would be if after the Devy rush, most likely a Superion, and FPs rumored Menasor if we got a decently articulated modern Computron. Then I realized Computron is made of 2 planes, a car, a drillertank, and a motorcycle. Anyone have any ideas as to how this could be done without totally throwing scale out the window?

I mean, 6 construction vehicles, depending on which ones you use, can be roughly the same size. Same for 5 planes, same for 4 Cars and a tractor trailor. Id like to think its possible to squeeze in a Computron, though i cant for the life of me figure out how to keep it in scale =[ Any thoughts?

I would LOVE a third party Computron. That guy gets no love. As for scale...eh, fuck it. I can pretend its a really big motorcycle. :lol

Also, I want a nice Abominus to go with it. Are you listening, Fansprojects? Please tell me you're listening. :(

Psh, I wouldn't care about scale. It's screwed in Transformers anyway, a world where a robot made out of five cars is the same size as a robot made out of five jets.

And what's this Superion you're talking about?

They could think outside the box and make Scattershot and Strafe the bulk of Computron, forming not only the torso but the arms (or the legs) as well, and then make Lightspeed and Nosecone the legs (or the arms) with Afterburner forming a chest plate or something. Not sure how feasible that would be or what it would look like, but it might solve the scale issues somewhat.

Aren't Devastators components out of scale with each other too?

I'm also wondering if the same applies to the Aerialbots?

It definitely does with the Stunticons.

Come to think of it....Divebomb is probably oversized too.

And speaking of motorcycles, Groove is out of scale with the other Protectobots too.

It's easier to just stop worrying about it.

Well, here's my take on it:
Scattershot is the chest and head
Afterburner is the right upper arm with a part of Strafe as the lower arm
Strafe is the entire left arm
Lightspeed is the right leg with a part of Nosecone as the foot
Nosecone is the entire left leg

    YAY :D

its kinda mentioned in the megathread for Herc, plus the present Superion is meh, i wouldnt be surprised if we got him, thats all.

and while scale is normally out the window, people lately are trying for it, even if only within the combiner teams (thus the 5 car 5 jet thing)

I would be happy with an encore release of Computron.

let's be honest with ourselves, computron is NOT the one that needs help.

the one that needs help is...

    this guy!

i loved this for the beast modes, but the combiner mode REALLY needs longer arms! and so do the little con's too :lol

but both of these *computron and abodimus* are my favorites, so i'd love reissues of both!

The big advantage that Computron has is that all the Technobots are Cybertronian modes, so their sizes don't need to be limited to mimicking Earth scale accuracy the same way most of the other Combiner teams do.

In terms of combiner scale accuracy, I've always been fascinated of how each team was portrayed in the cartoons/comics vs. what size they would actually be in real life barring mass shifting. Technically, Superion should be the biggest without question followed VERY closely by Devastator (depending which size of construction vehicles we're using). Bruticus should be third, but until they make Swindle into something bigger and replace Blast-Off with something more realistic than being a fighter space shuttle, he's out of the running. Then you get Menasor who really wouldn't be that big at all, followed by Predaking who should be smaller combined than most larger sized singular robots. Unless the Predacons alt modes are effing gigantic, that is. The rest... too ridiculous to bother mentioning.

so true about the sizes. i think of the predacons as slightly larger than life animals and that's why i have them with my chug collection.

if lightspeed is around the size of an earth car then computron should at least be the size of menasor.

Funny enough I just dug out my Computron to try and begin a restoration project on it. I would love a complete update, be it 3rd party or official, but I doubt that will happen. I think the most likely thing to hope for is some CrazyDevy addons

People that have to have TFs in scale are the same people who in 2011 still think the world is flat.
    Let go of "scale" already.
if ya want scale, go buy one of these and park it on top of your Detolf case:

i am in the minority, but i am pretty damn happy (mostly) by what Hastakatomy and the 3rd party folks give me, scale or not. i'll gladly buy a Computron if they make one.

My sentiments exactly :)  No one was complaining about Bruticus :)  and he had a space shuttle to keep in scale with a helicopter, a jeep and tanks :)

as long as I have cool-looking, articulated, durable combiner, I can ignore everything about scales. :D
