I woke up this morning and realised as I looked out my window that I was being held captive by a society that assigns me a number, wants my information and tells me what to think. Enougth about real life thougth, any UK mofos watch The Prisoner remake tonight?

I've not really drawn a conclusion yet, its not the travesty I was expecting but I still don't see the point of it considering that the original is still as great and relavent that its always been.

Are you talking about the one with Jim Caveziel (sp?) and Ian McKellan, or is there another remake out there?

It was on last November, pretty good show, but moreso influenced by the original's ideas, rather than a straight up remake. Much more cerebral than straight forward. I liked it.

Wait a second...I hope you werent calling the original "straight forward".

I did enjoy the remake however. At least I walked away from it understanding what happened (Which was the biggest difference from the original).

I'm not quite sure I understood the remake. I was let down by the ending.

I'd forgotten it was on last night, but just watched the first episode online.
To be honest, my overwhelming reaction was "meh". I'l watch at least a couple more to make a real judgement. Whilst it wasn't as bad as it could have been, there was nothing amazing about it.

Also, I have a nagging feeling that the ending is going to be a real "oh, for fuck's sake" let down for some reason.

I did appreciate the nod to the original though with the jacket 93 was wearing.
