Logically, you make sense. It's just from a narrative perspective, the damage done to him this episode had greater emphasis. Optimus tore off his door, he might have had some remark, but nothing else was shown. In this one, Megatron scolded him for 'preening' himself, he was the focus Decepticon of this episode, and in the end his entire body was dented along with other damage. The show has also repeatedly shown that the Decepticons aren't as prone to Status Quo as the Autobots (Starscream and Airachnid leaving, Breakdown losing his eye and not repairing it, Dreadwing speculation in "Grill") and if Knockout's ever going to have a character arc, this event makes for a reasonable catalyst. It might not happen, but this is a 'speculation' thread and I'm guessing this event had at least some greater effect.

 

Exactly. So I wouldn't be suprised that later on he'll use the Sythen that he got from Ratchet and use it on himself to make himself stronger and get what's left of his dignaty. But like with Ratchet it has a side effect that makes him more agressive to the point of insanity. That's my hunch anyway.

As for my predictions/hopes:

-Starscream will either die (most likely), or he'll actually start to get serious
-Arcee will hopefully get over Cliffjumpers death (I don't see any reason to kill her off now, just develop her a bit further)
-Wheeljack will continue to explore for the rest of the season, only coming in when called for, such as important missions where his skills may be needed
-Raf will be a robot
-Knockout will slowly go insane and use the Synthetic energon on himself (pleeeease, that thread had some good ideas)
-Unicron will ineveitably show up again somehow (hopefully in a flashback)
-The Fallen (or, preferably, Liege Maximo) will appear

-Hound will appear....pleeeeeeease??? Maybe he'll appear in a flashback and then die :/

IMO, I thought he was referring to how Breakdown was like his shield/backup. Now that he's gone, KO has less protection in battle and could be killed easier or something. That's why he gave him the Insecticon. (That's just me though.)
