As the title says, like what kinda camera ya got and equipment and what hints and tips you got on the photographin' itself and all that. And maybe to post some photo's you've taken.

I myself got Canon EOS 400D with no additional equipment besides the bag and whatever came with the package. Anyways, what I've been ponderin' about is what additional equipment I should get and on what order preferably, especially for shooting photocomics. Should I get macro lenses or a flash first, just to name one dilemma.

I know that was kinda more of photocomic tutorial-type question. I did check if there was any thread about the subject in the general discussion already. However, I didn't check any other sub-forums for that yet, and if this would seem to fit somewhere else better, do your thing, mods. Unless if this is a deleteable thread for some reason.

Here's a couple of random photos. Of a coffee cup and the Träskanda mansion located in Espoo. (links for the original source containin' the full-sized pics below)

Nuts! Should have posted this in the video games and technology section! Can it be moved over there?

Hey Fez, there is a sorta place for this: Camera, use, Settings, Framing in the Funnies section in the stickied tutorial section. Plus you can also join the funnies tutorial round table suggestion group to initiate the dialogue necessary for the tutorial section. There are plenty of people who would help you out if you want to ask, but probably need specific questions.

I also think that there is something in the Radicons section about taking pics as well, you might want to do a search in there as well.

Unless he's just talking about general photography I'd assume.

Anyway. I've got a Canon Powershot A650 IS. 12.1 megapixels, 6x optical zoom, and the only thing it came with was a 32mb SD card, a spare 1gig card (yeah, this one was the spare), AND A PRINTER/SCANNER!

Actually, I was just shopping for a new scanner when I found this deal at Costco, the printer/scanner (it has fax too but who uses fax?) and the camera for $300. And there was no way I was going to pass that up. I picked it up immediately. I've been very happy since.

Umm... as far as picture quality goes, I don't have much uploaded to really show what it can do. Haven't uploaded any pictures from my trip to California this past summer. I do have this picture, but it's uploaded onto Myspace right now and well... it's Myspace.

Yeah, its more or less pretty much that, like postin' photos that don't fit into the other threads and general stuff. And maybe links to other threads related to photography, like the photoshoot portion of the funnies tutorial, though there's nothin' there as of yet.

Always loved airports, and while some people might critique a lot of empty space there, I think it gives it a good feelin' of where you head from this place :)

My dad got me a digital camera for Christmas last year... I really haven't much of a chance to take pictures with it... well, I took some fairly decent ones from my trip up north this past summer. Maybe I'll try and upload the pics when I get the chance.

My camera's a Sony. Forgot what model, though...

Reposted from the photographers' thread in the Lounge:

All taken with a 7.2MP Casio Exilim EX-Z75 that I carry around with me everywhere. I have an older 4.1MP Olympus E-10 as well, but I only use that for studio work when I need to go full manual or when I don't mind lugging it around.

first time posting pics in these types of threads. i love it. get yourself a good, independent flash. i need a 300mm lens.

    canon rebel xti dslr...

you could have a kick ass camera, but you need to know the manual settings and your light meter.

some shots from this past summer. and an art project ( boobs ).

I love your work; they remind me of those (de)motivational posters you see in cubicle farms and offices these days.

I use a Canon 5D with my 28-105 mm as my standard lense. I also have a 50mm, 70-300mm, 75-300mm, 18-80mm lenses. i have a 4 point studio lighting kit, and god knows how many backdrops.

I also have a Canon 300D (digital Rebel) i use for backup, and quick snaps. it has a 18-80mm lense.

I'm also a professional photograher, so don't go run out and try to find the same gear. 5D body ALONE cost $3000.

This be my FLICKR page, y'all! Got almost 260 shots on there, and I only put my absolute fave pictures up on that page. :)

My current gear is the Canon EOS 400D/Xti, and my babies: Canon 18-55mm, 50mm, 17-40mm, 10-22mm, 55-250mm and occasionally I borrow lenses from work. :)
    I'm a lens whore. Rawr.
