I got a few to name, sadly. One month, then it's 3 months. come 6 months, I know I'll only dream of it.

Well I didn't want to say much about it.
But yea, it sucks when your waiting for a package, double-sucks when it never arrives.

Yeah. And what sucks is I'm still waiting on a package from someone right now that hasn't arrived.

Is it coming from canada? Shipments still seem a little backed up from the postal strike a while back.

It's worse when it is coming by regular mail and you can't know when it arrives.

Especially when you don't know if it needs to be signed or not. You get home, and see a notice of "attempted delivery-signature required." And of corse, it's on a Friday and you have to wait till Monday, drive all the way down town to the main headquarters and pick it up.

I think it would be worse knowing when it's supposed to arrive, since that way, if the day it was supposed to arrive comes, and it doesn't arrive, you'd feel that all hope is lost, even if it's just a few days late.

When I was in sixth grade, I found a few Speed Racer die-cast cars on eBay for a really good price, and it ended up being one of the very few times I won an auction (I really hate bidding, and rarely do it; even more rarely do I actually win). Several weeks passed, and it never came. At least the seller gave me back my money (including shipping), though.

I once placed an online order for some leather goods that were supposed to arrive within six weeks, but that I waited on for what seemed like an eternity. None of my e-mails to the vendor received replies. When my stuff didn't turn up after PayPal's dispute period, I walked away bitter about being cheated, swearing never to buy from this vendor again - something that I didn't expect to happen, as the vendor had been praised as one of the most trustworthy around.

Turns out that I wasn't cheated - I later found out, to my shock, that the vendor had been dead for a year when I made my order, and that his website had been left up but defunct (it's only recently been taken down). I guess my money's sitting there in his disused bank account. There's no longer any real desire to get it back; I just find myself feeling sort of bad that I thought of the vendor as a con, and find relief that it wasn't his fault.

Well, at least you know it's ready to be picked up. It's too disheartening to know of a package that seemed to be nonexistent. Check upon check yields nothing.
