    Well, he never transforms, I guess he just never had a "Cybertronian mode" worked out, so Boo just went with what he had.

    That's not really so much a full-fledged "Cybertronian mode" as a "let's get rid of most of his recognizable vehicle parts". But yeah, I see your point.

    Derrick said they have to design each animation model with a transformation in mind.

    Just in case Hasbro ever wanted to make toys out of them.
