    Original 13, not 7. You're wrong.

The silhouettes clearly vary in design. They do not all look like The Fallen. You're wrong again.

    Thanks.

What the hell is your problem newbie?

    Have you seen the movie?

    Cuz I have

When the primes sacrifice themselves there is only a handful of them not thirteen.

All of the Primes are variations of the fallen's design. They look like him. They are not all the same cgi i model but they all look alike

One Prime, ... , Seven Prime. If names are really needed we could borrow them from Snow White.

In RotF it is stated that there were only 6 or 7 (I think it was 7). I think it was Jetfire that said this, when he was explaining why he dumped Sam and his Merry Men in Egypt.

The silhouettes vary in design, but not in style. They all look like the unholy spawn of the Alien Queen and one of the Tommyknockers.

There are 7 primes in the movie continuity family. Jetfire confirms this himself. And Optimus and Megatron are definitely NOT part of the first primes.

Jetfire confirms there were originally seven Primes. The Fallen is one, the others
all sacrificed themselves to become a living tomb to contain The Matrix of Leadership

The Defiance comic confirms that Optimus is a lost descendant,
the last descendant according to The Fallen in the movie
, and that he adopts the name Prime when his lineage becomes known.

    Additionally,
when Sam has his near-death experience and meets the ancient Primes, you only see six of them - plus the Fallen, and there are all seven
    .

Basically, in spite of all the talk of "multiversal singularities", Revenge of the Fallen does its own thing with the myth of the first Transformers.

Of course, when they say that
only a Prime can kill a Prime
it is possible they started out with more and for whatever reason their numbers dwindled. Maybe The Fallen took a few with him and the survivors
transformed themselves into the Tomb of the Primes
. Or perhaps they divided their number equally,
    six becoming the tomb
and the rest going into the sarcophagi like in the Defiance comic?

This is what confused me slightly. I had thought there were supposed to be 13 orginal Primes, but Jetfire only stated 7 in the movie. So i guess the 13 number was dropped for 7?

wow, man. i like the "Thanks" at the end. really accentuates the smug. regardless, jetfire says there were only 7 original primes and this is supported by all of the scenes featuring them. furthermore, all of them are variations of the fallen, each of them also bearing the pharaoh-esque heads.

Just a thought on the whole 13 vs 7 thing... maybe there were 13 original TF's and of those 13, 7 of them were Primes? But I haven't seen the flick either though.

The number of original Primes was reduced from 13 to 7 by the movie maybe to save money. 13 is also an unlucky number.

When Simon Furman first concieved the Twelve and the Liege Maximo he going for the original apostles analogy. This was later taken to the concept of the Thirteen where Vector Prime, The Fallen and Nexus Maximus are members. Each of them Primes but Vector Prime was the only one who kept his original designation.

One can argue that Movie Fallen is not the multi-universe singularity Fallen of the 13.

Comics Fallen betrayed Primus to be Unicron's minion.

Movie Fallen betrayed the Primes because he wanted power and disliked fleshlings.

None, I haven't seen the movie. So I am willing to eat my words. I guess I'm just thrown off by everyone freakin' saying "Original 13".

But I still disagree about the Primes all looking like variations of the Fallen. That's like saying Bumblebee looks like Optimus.
