Ok, as a kid growing up, I was short on cash for games, so I traded in a ton of SNES and Genesis games that I wish I never did. I know there are roms available, but they aren't quite the same. I also have been able to regain most of the better titles, but my collection would have been great if I never traded stuff in. Oh, and just like nowadays, trade in didn't score you much, so I would have had a lot more despite not having that trade in credit.

I have a lot of these back, but here are just some examples:

    Chrono Trigger
    Super Mario RPG
    Zelda 3
    Contra 3
    Super Mario All Stars
    Super Empire Strikes Back
    Street Fighter 2 Turbo
    Super Castlevania 4
    Megaman X, 2
    Sonic 1 & 2
    Donkey Kong Country 1 & 3
    Starfox
    Breath of Fire 1 & 2
    Kid Chamealon
Sega CD system and Sonic CD
    Saturn system and
    Astal
    Street Fighter Movie
    Virtua Fighter 2
Panzer Dragoon 1, 2, and Saga
    Import Street Fighter Vs Xmen
    Import D&D collection

Ahh, I could go on, but it saddens me how hasty I was as a kid. I would do anything to get my next game back then.

I had a Saturn and 35+ games I ditched for some N64 games back when I was like 14. I still want to get 3 Dirty Dwarves, Dark Savior, Beyond Oasis, and the Saturn Stunners again.

I had, not to long ago, traded in RE2 for GC and ZOE 2 for PS2 in and wish I had them back now.

Ahh! I had 3 Dirty Dwarves, Dark Savior, and Beyond Oasis. Again, wish I still had all 3- those I never got again.

Grandia was one of the few PS titles I got rid of and shouldn't have, but once the PS hit, I was working, and didn't need to scrounge so much and really didn't trade much in. Plus, I worked for game stores for several years and being able to return games for full value was a nice perk! Albeit, not necessarily within the rules.

I got tons of bootleg PS games in the Philippines, including a bootleg FFVII, when I was 5. I found the KO FF7 a while back, but it was missing it's first disc, so I go like "what the hell, let's destroy it!" so I crack the discs in half. Then I found the first disc in a drawer a while after. Oh, well, at least I have my complete, non-Greatest Hits FF7!

My friend sold his NES when he was 7, now he regrets it

I remember selling my PS1 copy of Xcom ufo defense, then deciding several years later I wanted to play it again. It ended up costing me $90 on amazon to replace.

I had Street Fighter Collection as a kid, I traded it to a friend temporarily so I could use his Game Boy, I was big on Pokemon at the time so I was getting all my ones from Blue Version to Red Version. Got 151 fairly that way, in that I'm still a little proud. But I never got the chance to trade back so there went one of my favorite fighting games... I lost TMNT Turtles in Time the same way but at least I have the original Mortal Kombat in exchange.

I still have the Sega 32X and about 6 games for it. I had gotten it for Starwars arcade and have yet to beat it.

I've never got rid of any of my old consoles, or the games. I have quite a few now, and I should inventory them.
