What an awesome movie with Jet Li and Jason Statum. But I'm curious. Did I just see the Terminator's Hunter Killer at the very end of the movie? If you look at the scene where Law is sent to prison, he starts fighting with all the other inmates there. At the very last minute of the film, it look's like one of the Hunter Killer ships from Terminator came flying over to survey the fight scene.
feel the need to post this again. YouTube - Jet Li The One End Scene I don't care about how many people rag on this movie. it has a special place in my all time favs
I also liked the fact that when the good Law went to his destination, the scene where the poor dog was hit, they showed two 2001 Honda Insights! Didn't like that the dog got hit of coarse, but liked the two Insights being in there cause I own one! Anyway, it's an awesome movie and I plan on adding it to my collection someday. I also liked it cause it's theme is similar to Sliders which i also loved to watch and I just love the idea of parallel universes or multi-verses.
Yeah, I saw in the theatres and own it on DVD, so I like it. One thing that's pretty interested is that Jet Li made the movie a lot better, literally. Originally The Rock was going to be the central characters but dropped out. When they brought Li on board he insisted on it having the subplots about being centered and the different fighting styles for them and everything, resulting in a far stronger and more effective movie.
This is probably Jet Li's best US film, actually, possibly one of his best. Apart from the story being cool (a mix of Sliders and Highlander) the realisation and special effects are nicely done. I did want a full on Evil Law and Statham fight, but we didn't get one.
