I'll see what critics like Ebert, Phillips, Scott, and even those two critics from "At The Movies" say about it as well as see what Rotten Tomatoes gives it.

Will it beat the first film's 57% rating?

Not worth spending any money on a bad film in this economy.
I rather save it for "Public Enemies" and "Inglorious Bastards".

well i thought both star trek and wolverine had massive lotholes at the ends.

(trek with the altered universe and wolverine walking away from gambit - the only man who can help with his identity)

so that being said - yes it smashed wolverine

i like the general plot of star trek - but it was just as cheesy as this was.

smashed trek but only coz it didnt have a huge plothole in the end.

 

Ebert actually gave the first film a thumbs up, Roeper too, except his gay partner didn't like, but that's not surprising

 

Is there any scenes at the end of the credits? Or just Sam going to College?

 

Well...after all I read and seen.....it looks like the movie is going to be one epic fail in the story department. There are plotholes EVERYWHERE! Even plotholes have plotholes!

And the humor sounds like it's the same from the first film - stupid and unfunny....

If I had to express my expectations in numbers I couldn't do it. Numbers don't go that low.

 

In spite of the lack of justice done to iconic characters, merely knowing there will be scenes of the Original 13 makes my pants tight. On top of that, Optimus Prime is still my favorite character, and he will always be done justice on screen.  

 

Before i go to bed i would like to add one last spoiler.......


Devastator has big balls - simmons calls it 'the scrotum' - no joke!

 

I'm sure they are still working on the film, and the U.S. and IMAX release may be different, I also think Bay made this film for IMAX, once people find out the IMAX print is longer they will see it a second time.

Ironhide is NOT a background character, you see him quite allot, he is first to Transform in the movie actually (From memory) Ratchet is in the thick of the action at the end, but doesn't speak much

The fight with Prime/Meggs/Screamer/Blackout is brutal and very good
Prime is eventually speared through the chest from behind by Megatron

i can see this changing in the US release, what is the last thing you see Megatron doing? No Protoform scene?

Man based on what this one person has said it'll either be a hit or miss to be honest. Funny 'bout the balls comment. I'm still looking forward to this film nonetheless.

 

Thats odd about there not being the end scene with Megatron on the Nemesis when it was both in the book and the comic

 

what plot holes are you talking about? you're saying this and you have not even seen it

 

This was a press screening, I'm sure that may be added by the time it's released in the USA, at least I hope
