We have all had this moment. You go to your local retailer, or receive a package from Ups or Fedex. You grab your figure, and open the box. Everything is fine. You Transform it. Everything is fine. You look at the figure the wrong way. It is broken.... What do? Your face when?
My explanation. I searched high and low for Wreck-Gar. I finally find him, after months of searching. I get him, I open the box. Everything is fine and dandy. I set him down on my display shelf.... everything is cool. I look up for a second, and straight up. His left handlebar falls off, and not the rubber. I mean the plastic that holds the screw... I mean, I guess it is... battle damaged? But... -headdesk-
Eh. Id go straight to the store you bought it from and ask for a refund/ and or a replacement Wreckgar.
I bought the "Legacy of Bumblebee" 3-pack online. MISB, the package was minty, but when I looked closely, the metal parts were rusted. Sold it below acquisition cost just to get rid of it.
This happened to me, except it was my fault. I recently (as in like 3 days ago) picked up a complete G1 Starscream and decided to transform it. As I was putting it back in it's alt mode, one of the tail fins gets a little stuck so I decided to jiggle it a bit. Next thing I know, POP! Fin's broken. I just panicked and slowly put it down and haven't looked back at it since for fear of flipping out.
I tried to pull ROTF leader primes windows/mini doors out and the right one popped right off Reaction=
Naught 10 mins after opening the FP G3 Trailer I put one of the weapon racks on the pegs. Go to take it off..*SNAP* two pegs gone. *eyetwiches*....
On the brighter side, tail fins are somewhat easy to come by, especially at BotCon if you are going this year.
So I finally got the replacement wing joints for a KO KOLD Klear seeker to replace the ones that were broken on the toy itself. They also shipped the missing pin...which I recognized immediately as being the wrong pin as it was bigger than it needed to be and it didn't fit in the joint of a chromed seeker (on its chest for the landing gear). I seriously don't understand how KOToys can send me the WRONG ONE even AFTER me sending them the pic of the exact pin I needed. Incompetence I swear.....but anyway, back to the joints. Transferring the replacement joints weren't the problem. The problem was, some of them had stress cracks already. Yay. The second problem: The seeker's wing peg didn't necessarily fit inside the hole of the joint. So...I decided to try to sand/file down the peg on the wing to a smaller circumference so that it would fit. Nope. Long story short, cheap piece of sh*t broke. So.....I have three KOLD Klear seekers that will never transform again unless they want to look like ******ed decepticons........ thanks to superglue being the only thing that helped put "it" back together. Lesson learned. I'm never ordering from them again. Ever..... *edit* - found one good wing and wing joint on one and swapped it over to another Klear Seeker. Now I have only 2 that will never transform again and one that won't due to fear of it breaking
When City Commander was first released, I bought it immediately and was soooo excited to have it. Transformed it into robot mode and tried to turn his head. It was stuck, so I moved it around slowly to try and loosen it up. Seemed to have worked, so I put him on the shelf. Couple minutes later I decided to switch up his head position, and his head came off in my hand. Had him for all of 15 minutes. Was pretty pissed, and tried to fix it, didn't work. Sheraz at KoolToyz and the FP guys ended up getting me an entirely new chest assembly to replace the broken head. So, I was choked, but tried right away to see what could be done to replace it. Sheraz and Fansproject really came through for me on that!
People who buy a Black Zarak then play with it are either: a) incredibly brave and know what they're getting into b) incredibly stupid and deserve everything they get
Unfunny 4chan jokes aside, I had something like this happen with one of my power ranger figures, except that I can probably blame it on age. I've had my white ranger figure for years & nothing went wrong. Then when I set him down a few months ago, one of the joints in his arm just broke from the toy's own weight.
