The local wally world finally got these figures in. They completely skipped the first wave. No Maverick, not even a comic style Deadpool to console me.
Wait, didn't I have dinner with you and a bunch of other people at NYCC saturday night at some Chinese place?
Oh hey yeah, I remember you, right next to the comic shop owner (manager?) and his wife right? Cue music "It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all..." Didn't realize you were THE Wreckgar, man, we gotta hang at the next con!
I found Deadpool today and got him. I'm not a fan of the construction/articulation style they used on these. Its the same as the Iron Man movie figures and i find it really annoying to pose, especially the legs. Cool looking figure though!
Absolutely. I didn't know I was entitled to a "THE" before my name. I'll have to hit you up on IM, I actually have something in the works that i want as many comic industry people on as possible. And what's funny is that you colored the pages Jimmy Palmiotti wrote and sent me some books. Then Frank Castle told me to but that book.
With Deadpool, I just cut off his holster and everything so only his belt stayed. Put some battle damage near his ribs so his skin is showing. Glued his rifle in his right hand, put Wulverine's sword in his left (Which actually fits much better then Deadpool's swords). And kept his 3 bladed thing (Which also fits in his left hand nicely).
I like my Deadpool. His legs are kinda loose, but I can still pose. Also his left hand couldn't hold a sword, but I fixed it with hot water and immediate cooling.
I hope the loose leg ball joints I've heard about isn't chronic on all Deadpool's. Find him is hard as it is.
I want to pick up a comic Deadpool and maybe a Wolvie, but they cost £7.99 here in the UK. That works out to be $11.56 US... which I'm not paying for a mass release 3 3/4 inch figure. Having said that Indy figures came out at that price originally and now they're heavily discounted. I picked up a KOTCS Indy for £1.50 the other day. He's stealing the Crystal Skull from within the Millenium Falcon...
The indy figures tanked everywhere. There are still some hanging out at my local WM's for a dollar a figure. I honestly don't think that these Wolverine figures, for the most part, are going to have that problem. I would say that the comic Deadpool figure is definitely not going to stay on the pegs for long. You would probably be able to get some of the less popular Wolverine figures (Logan, Weapon X, etc.), movie Deadpool, and Sabretooth figures on the cheap though.
Finally got ahold of the Wolverine/Sabretooth 2 pack today, and WOW is it nice! The only thing that would've made it perfect is if both of them could bend their wrists. It's a small nitpick, but it would've made great figures into perfect figures IMO, ah well.
Went to 2 Targets and 2 Walmarts, and DAMN are these shelf-warming. I don't think 1 figure beyond Deadpool has sold.
I just saw these figures and they look pretty nice! I'm tempted to pick a few up - is Deadpool that rare?
