Yes, but he needs to be premium beef. Tall, stocky and intimidating. The guy was actually hard as fuck in the comics, but unfortunately had to deal with a dude who was forged within the fires of a God. And a timescale. And some blonde - but well done there.
FP City Commander ended up compromising the articulation of the base figure (it's only flaw, if you ask me) so focus on what the MP-10 mold can offer the Magnus armour and vice versa.
And give him his shades and some eyes too, so we can alternate between fan preference.
But please - above all else - give him the beef.

 

I'm not saying the figure is bad at all, I still like the released figure (and I own both the weathered Japan USA Edition plus the original green one.)

It's just not the same as the design we originally saw   I think that was better. However, your point is still largely accurate. Ultimately, TT won't let us down.

 

I would buy an Ultra Magnus MP. Only if it combined with it's trailer (as we've seen). I'd be great it it came with that Huffer concept we saw as a ride-along for car-carrier mode. I'm on board.

 

Yes I would buy a MP Ultra Magnus with trailer armor. Maybe they will make it so that cab doesn't fully transform into a white prime to cut down cost   I am not a fan of the white prime.

 

I would really love an MP Magnus in all his white Prime cab glory.

I still feel like I haven't gotten my proper modern Magnus fulfillment after the skipped the blue faceplate and crest deco on the Classics version. Several years later, I'm wanting a real-deal MP style complete Magnus with trailer.

Yeah, see, I don't know about that. It certainly couldn't be any more expensive than creating an entire new mold of Prime. Granted, they'll likely turn this mold out two more times too after Magnus, but if they'd done MP-02 and then MP-02 with armor them the rest of the original MP Prime Repaints... the costs would've spread out to thin enough for justification. And again, the armor cold've been used at least once more. Maybe even a second time for an eHobby Dark Magnus or some other nonsense.

Yeah, I'd say classics/whatever name it goes by now is the driving inspiration for the scale. As Alt/BTAlternity are all pretty much dead.

Not really, the concept shows pretty much what will happen. the legs of the trailer will separate and snap onto the Prime legs. If anything, articulation is the easy part.

Which is another reason why I think MP-02 with Armor would've sold.

If the trailer looks good in trailer mode, then yes. (I don't want it to be so heavily focused on bot-mode that trailer mode is an afterthought---I want it to actually be a decent-looking car-carrier or something)

Yes I want 1 but PRICE should ALWAYS be important cause some folks don't have endless amounts of cash laying around like other people do so they have CAN'T afford to buy a 250 dollar figure which is mostly what these MP figures are going for these days. So my take is KEEP IT LOW enough for EVERYONE to afford and UNDER the 175 dollar marker and I will buy it along with so many others as well. The MP figures are getting out of control with these prices cause 250 dollars is ALOT of cash to spend when you have bills and have to eat etc. So if they can keep it at a good price and keep the quality up their as well oh yeah its going to be a great MP. I mean after all thats what SS/hot toys 12" SW figures should take into acct as well but they don't.

 

I'd vote yes but the only Masterpiece I care to buy is Unicron, maybe Rodimus.

I'd only vote yes because this sets a precedent for Ultra Magnus figures that AREN'T just white Optimus figures. And maybe this will eventually lead to a Deluxe/Voyager eventually.

 

I'd only vote for a Magnus toy that can be BOTH a white Prime and the Trailer Armor.

 

I definitely would want one, price isn't an issue.
