As some of you may, or may not know, Asylum Films has a giant robot movie coming to DVD called TRANSMORPHERS. While it shares a similar name to Transformers, it appears to have more akin to the Matrix and Terminator films, but with giant Robots.

I know alot of people are pretty skeptical of direct to DVD films and films that seem to play off of popular themes. However, I recently had the chance to talk a bit with the folks at Asylum films and they seem like pretty cool folks. So here is what I am currently able to share with you guys. This post will be updated as more info is released. Alos, try to keep in mind this is all good natured fun.

Ok, here is what was sent to me from The Transmorphers guys.

    Not involved at all.

When I saw a thread over in the movie forum going "wtf is this". I jokingly added a sig and avatar for it. Then as I did some looking into the film and company, I figured I would try to find out what the deal is. I sent the PR rep at Asylum an email, and asked for any info and said I would share it with the community.

I also got the email of the writer and director. I might try to do an interview to get a feel how (if at all) Transformers played a role in influencing this film.

As I said in the thread that first mentioned this movie: If you trawl through the sea of straight-to-video crappiess for long enough you can find some pretty good move gems that deserves more recognition.
I fully intend to follow up on this movie and check out some reviews - If things sound favourable I'll definately be buying!

All these promotions for giant robots takin' over the world is just a gig to get humans accustomed to the fact that giant robots do exist, have for some time, and you should probably be treatin' your toaster or old VW with more respect than you currently do....

If I see a trailer I'll concider seein' this

Updated first post with links to gallery.

Also, I hope you guys enjoyed our April Fool's Day redesign. We had the full blessing of Asylum Films who provided me with all the images and the video. It's great to see some companies can partake in soemthing as crazy as that.

Yup. Really, it was a win/win for both. We got to pull a fun prank, they got tons of exposure and got news out about their products. Because of their good will, I plan to continue to promote Transmorphers via this thread.
