LOL, I was about to say I hated those shoes growing up but....

    I did have them:lol .

BTW, have they ever reissued these shoes?

I'd buy them also! Gary Payton used to wear them back in the day. Loved these shoes because nobody had them, I was the only kid rocking these in High School on the court (Well... on the bench but thats another story lol)

No docs here... Nikes all the way through High School and the occasional adidas (Gazelles, Rod Lavers, Stan Smith).

Only sneakers I buy now are the Adidas SS2Gs. That's my shoe of choice until I die.

Yup. It's the shoe for me. I've been wearing the same type since my first pair back in 2000ish.

Good deal! Those are some nice J's. Man, Feb 12th can't get here soon enough. I'm getting the Royal Blue Foamposites from eastbay.com and they have a 10% off coupon. So no Taxes, 10% off, maybe free shipping?

BTW, for those of you that can't wait, Sneaker St. has them for sale already for 240 shipped

Nike Air Foamposite One Royal Blue

If I can't get them at Eastbay, i'll just buy them there. 240 isn't bad, considering retail is 200 and with Taxes, it comes out around 216.

Im going the Eastbay route too for the Foams. NDC will be my second alternative. If the online madness prevents me from getting a pair at midnight... to the stores it is...

From my minutes of googling, it seems this release will be somewhat normal according to the eastbay representative here

These are more sought out then the copper foams that came out last year or the egg plants. The coppers went crazy!

There was a rumor going round that Nike saw last years Retro of the Air Carnivore as a test run for the Air Unlimited...

...Believe it or not, when Nike Retro some shoes they literally build a new mold from the bottom up. (This has been attributed to molds being lost, or original molds being designed for PU midsoles which were later shown to not stand the test of time)

So if they're coming back it could be a while yet.

...and on the Paytons, people have been asking for them for years and years.

    Nothing.

The only reason i can think of is that Nike have some sort of issue with the monkey paw.... they've retroed stuff a lot less popular than that.. Heck, they know they can Retro whatever they like and retailers have to take it.

What would retailers do otherwise? Nike runs the athletic/sports casual footwear market and that's it.

IIRC, the patent has Eric Avar's name on it too. I suspect sneakers are often a much more collaborative thing than Nike would have us believe.

I never saw the coppers but those Egg plants looked ok. Kind of a weird color but they looked it.

BTW, are the coppers getting a second release soon?

Payton had some bad ass shoes back in the day. For awhile, I just swore off Jordan's because everyone had a pair. Mom, Dad, Grandma, everyone wore Jordan's and that just wasn't appealing to me. So I brought those Payton's and these (I don't remember which came first?)

    Loved the Clicking sound! lol

When did these shoes become so popular? I remember everyone giving me grief because it wasn't a "Jordan" shoe :lol .
