It's nice to know that Arcee and Minerva will be in 4th and 5th place at least! It's amazing about how they come this far! 

 

As much as I wanted Rattrap to win, I voted for Megatron.  

Why do we have to be limited to only one character per year? There were so many great characters this year, that it made it really difficult to choose.

I wish Sky-Byte could have made it into the top five as well, but at least he made this list. I'm surprised that neither Bludgeon nor Carnivac were able to make it in.

 

Speaking of which, I'm gonna run down our list with my immediate thoughts on each character.

Arcee - Was female
Bulkhead - Greatly written example of the new breed, hope he stays around
BW Megatron - Best heel in the business
Minerva - Who?
Prowl - Staple G1 character
Rattrap - Legit, but overshadowed by other cast members
Rodimus - G1 staple, simply dealt a bad hand in terms of tv
Sky-Byte - I get the route, but why him?
Swindle - Possibly the most relevant troll ever
Wheeljack - Same as Prowl, cept he's a nerd, and a Lancia


...Bring on the hate.  

 

Now that I think of it I wonder if the Hall of Fame is being hyjacked by some rabid BW fans? No offense to my fellow BW fans out there since I'm one too! I wouldn't be all suprised if BW Megatron won.

You do know that there are other sites also voting for their favorites right? They all submit their top 5 and from what I can gather, not one of them have Minerva in their top 5. In fact, some of the characters leading on the other boards aren't even on ours, like Devastator is a top 5 on more than one board. Blackarachnia is another that is a top 5.

Now there are a couple that seem to be universal like BW Megatron and Arcee, then there are a few that are close like Rodimus, Wheeljack and Sky-Byte.

My point is that our top five may not be the final 5 Hasbro lets us vote on. (or 4, does anyone know how many we get to choose from this year?)

 

There hasn't been any indication that Hasbro plans to deviate from having 5 TFs in their final vote for this year.

 

So, is the voting done now or does it end later today?

Come on Wheeljack fans! We have almost overtaken Swindle but we have a lot of work to do to catch BW Megatron.

Unless there's a last minute surge of surprising voting, it looks like the five nominees are already pretty clear cut: BW Megatron, Swindle, Wheeljack, Minerva, and Arcee.

All I know is: if BW Megatron gets in, then so does his VA. The infamous yessssss alone is reason enough.

 

In his defense, he did go through a lot of trouble trying to get rid of those parts. He must have a strong sense of animal rights. I'm sure he'd never test anything on anima- oh. nevermind.


Just a few hours left to go, ladies and gentlebots, if you haven't voted yet, make sure your voice is heard!

For me, I'm proud to back Minerva, and even prouder of all the support she's gotten! Keep it up, everyone, and spread the word to VOTE MINERVA!

 

Yes and No. While part of his popularity in the polls is due to the whole TFCC credit card fiasco (which is funny as hell... the Swindle part not the actual CC fraud), Swindle is also one of those intriguing TF characters that adds depth to the mythology (how much is certianly debateable). Swindle has also become one of the few members of a combiner team that can stand on his own in the fiction and not seem out of place without the other members of said team.

Personally I think both Gary Chalk and David Kaye should be in the HOF. Since both are rumored to be at Botcon this year, I think the odds are good they will be.

 

Rattrap or Swindle
