A big "Hi" to all peeps of this RE thread! *Waves!*

I know I'm kinda slow but we've just completed RE5 on XBox 360 & I must say that the experience was "WOW!!!" :rock :rock :rock

My wife & me were pretty ecstatic as the Makers introduced Co-Op mode whereby we can both play along side by side with each other on a split screen. (A downside for the screen becomes too small for our own comfort. :cry )

However, we encountered a MAJOR "problem" or should I say, a "glitch" when we were fighting Wesker in the final chapter of the game. (Chapter 6-3, I believe. You know, the Volcano scene, blah, blah, blah...)

    Here goes:

Ok, you know the part where Wesker makes a jump over to Sheva's side & started chasing her which have her running & running till the rocks under her feet gave way & she was then left dangling on the cliff? Yeah, I'm referring to THIS PART! :mad

My wife was supposed to keep pressing an "action button" (X or A or something) to have Sheva climbing back up so that she could continue running towards this huge boulder which I'd then pushed into the lava right? Well, we tried as many times as we could but we just failed there. I'm saying no matter HOW MANY TIMES you try pressing the button, or HOW FAST you're pressing the button, you're bound to end up falling into the lava so that puts us down to an instant death & ending our gameplay. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Well, not just us. My wife's sister & her hubby bought this game & they played Co-Op & they, too, "died" at this exact same spot. :thumbdown

Next, all 4 of us tried partnering with an A.I Sheva & guess what? The A.I hauled herself up almost immediately without any difficulty & we all completed the game eventually! :rip

Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Seems like a "bug" in the game but we needed more confirmation from others to be sure. We were pretty pissed, in fact so much to the extent that we wanted to write in to Microsoft asking just what the he#* had happened.

A single "glitch" like this spoilt the fun we were having. (Otherwise, we would gladly give this 1000% :lol )

    Help? Anyone?

No, she won't pull herself up until Chris punches the boulder, if I remember rightly. With AI it might not be bothered about that.

I just cant go into Trophy hunt on any game, I jus find I waste to much time on a game when others are out there waiting to be played. I loved Re5 though but the games are more of a action game then horror. They should go back to the Re remake for the GC....that game is fucking briliant.

ps. HUNK rules all...he should get his own game.

Just recently got this one too and have been really enjoying it. Last night I looked at the Leaderboards(PS3 version) and saw that there are people that have completed this game in like 32 minutes. How is that even possible?

Yeah, it's pretty fucking insane but most encounters can be avoided and I'm sure they are using something high powered/explosive with infinite ammo for the fights they do get into.

But wasn't Chris suppose to go aim & start shooting away at Wesker at that point? Thought Sheva was shouting "Shoot him!" or something, no?

    Well, I've tried having Chris:

    1) Shoot Wesker with my SR75 Rifle. (Wesker did attacked me back)
    2) Just look on & doing nothing.

Either way, the wifey/Sheva falls into a lava-bath & I get an earful after that for that cutscene! :lol

If only we can get over this somehow... :sly:

From what I understand, the RE5: Alternative Edition is the complete game, plus all the DLC on one disc for the PS3.

The 360 version is the original with codes to download the DLC from the Marketplace.

    I'd suggest finding a co-op buddy.
The game really is at its best with another human player.

I actually just beat CVX last night, and with that I have now officially beaten all the "classic old-style" RE games, and all the main ones aside from 5. I love 4, and 5 is decent from what I have played, but part of me is sad that we may never see a true "survival horror" style RE game again.

I have not. I didnt actually download the versus mode.
Paying for content thats already on the disk FTL.

That and I didnt really feel like enlisting in the Wesker Wars.

I was tempted, but between Borderlands, and L4D2 DLC, then the story add-ons for RE5, I just cant afford more downloads.
